?In regards to specifics, the X-Men in the Mangaverse are Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Jean Grey and Moonstar. The villains are Magneto, in a form unlike any we have previously seen, Mystique, Beast and Nightcrawler. And Amanda Sefton plays a big part in it all.?

I'd be more excited if "Amanda Sefton plays a big part in it all" were not such a large part of the plot that they felt the need to mention it in the summary. Oh yeah, big selling point there. *sigh*

Hey, I think it's interesting to have Nightcrawler as a bad guy. He can make a good hero, so why shouldn't he make a kick-a@@ villian? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif And I guess they chose him as a villian rather than a hero is because he kind of looks like that kind of demonic magical bad guy in a lot of anime, in my opinion anyway. And about Amanda, there are aren't many magicians close to the X-Men, nad besides, she should be a different character than we see in the regular continuity, so give it a chance. Not too sure about this Kurt-as-a-villain thing. (Having flashbacks to "Belasco's lackey" Kurt and "Lightning squad/Nazi" Kurt....*shudder*) I'm wondering just how bad of a badguy Kurt is in this universe. I've always said that with his powers Nightie would make a terrifying and almost unstoppable assassin....curious to see where their taking this!

I just hope we will se more of this Mangaverse and the BLUE team (they said the magneto was a wee bit changed, so why not blue!?) kicking everyone else's asses!!! Especially the ass of One-eye. Marvel is sure making the best of its franchise. I guess this means we will be getting another take on the character, which can't hurt. Personally I hope he's as pathectic and depraved as the Limbo NC of long ago. If you do something different with a character, you had better do it well. But my bet is that he will turn out to be a misguided misunderstood sort of badguy...
Note that Beast is a baddie too. What is this, the cute and pretty mutants vs. the wierd and ugly mutants?

I wouldn't worry about it too much...it doesn't seem like they're being too true to the original universe...only enough to keep the characters recognizable. Which, in my opinion, is AWESOME! I mean, if they just took the universe and kinda rethought it but kept everything nearly the same, but the history, well then they'd have another Ultimate universe.
And they say that Beast and Nightcrawler are villains...but good and bad a VERY subjective. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm already digging the idea of Beast, NC, Mags, and Mystique on a team...they could kick EVERYONE'S ASS!

Nighty as a villian should be interesting, I agree that I immediately think of Earth X's Kurtlasco and the Nazi Kurt from Excalibur...he was creepy! Demon Kurt in Limbo was a nasty bastard too. It'll be interesting to see what this take on a villainous Kurt will be.
