Just curious

Okay, we all know we are Nightcrawler fanatics here, but just out of curiousity, what are some of your other favorite characters, and which ones can you absolutely can't stand?

Hates/Dislikes:
#1. CYCLOPS!! Jean Grey/Phoenix, Gambit, Bishop, Thuderbird III

Cyclops - I have to admit, I am a little jealous of Evo Scott's shapely hips. Why don't other people like poor Scott?

Gambit - Gambit is great by himself. Not good enough for me to keep buying his book, which I think might be canceled now, but I still like him.

Iceman - He's about as interesting as Gambit, basically, good enough that I won't skip over all his dialogue but not so good I'll pay to see just him. Only Nightcrawler is that good. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Jean - Evo Jean only right now.

Rachel Summers - Mostly a visual thing here. Ooh, pretty fire bird.

Dislikes

Jubilee - boring. Heck, add all of GenX (yes, Chamber too) into this.

Cable - boring. Add all of the Summers' refugees (except Rachel, Jean and Scott) into this. And X-Force. Mustn't forget them.

Magik II - DIE DIE DIE (Boring yet irrevokably connected to Kurt.)

Shadowcat - No comment.

Rogue - You know.

There must be other ones but I can't think of them right now. Anyone I didn't list can be added to another list, "Characters I Don't Care Either Way About". Like Storm and Wolverine. And Thunderbird III. Really, I quit reading the books right when he showed up and he's in Claremont's book now anyway, so I should be safe. But just let him show up in a book with Kurt and start hogging the spotlight. There aren't any characters that I really dislike. There are probably other characters that I should mention in the "likes" column, but I can't think of them right now. My brain is tired.

Beast (no its not the blue fur, I actually prefer the Beast in Ultimate. There's something about a big lunk with a brain that's very appealing)
Wolverine(yes I know he's overexposed and that gets on my last nerve, but I still thinks he's cool)
Shadowcat (mainly because her phasing powers are cool)
Cyclops (the evo version is a really cool guy, if a little uptight but that's understandable. The comics version isn't all that interesting to me. )
Jean Grey (ditto)
Rogue(ditto for the most part. I actually hated her for a while when she was starring in every issue. I'd wake up in the night thinking "God, I hate that Rogue!" but I got over it. I guess because she's gonna be in claremont's book, which I don't plan on reading)


dislikes:

Angel (he's so damned whiny, nothing worse than a filthy rich guy with wings who whines. Try saying that fast more that 5 times http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif and why the heck is he blue? Aren't there enough blue guys as it is? I guess its a "blue angel" reference. I think it just makes him look like a clown with yellow hair and eyebrows. )

Jubilee (I don't know why, I guess it just seemes her only purpose in the comics is to be cute, bleh!)

Colossus (sorry BAMF! and anyone else who likes the guy. I don't actually dislike him, I've just always found him to be very boring and predictable. He's seems livlier in Ultimate though. That upcoming submarine excursion sounds interesting)

Cable/Bishop (no more tuff guys from apocolyptic futures, please. It was cool the first time around with Rachel, but that should have been it)

beast kinda annoys me in the earlier comics , although i thought he was most cool in the fox cartoon, ( hum was there actullya chara. called morph in the books?)
futher more: i donna like jean, i donna like angel, for much of the same resons as gal, and hes blue becuase of apocolips (why!! i spell so bad) came w/ the wings o' metal. and for some reason i dont like shadow cat *sorry shady* like the way gal doesnt like jubs.donno.

Actually, aside from Nighty, Angel is one of my favorite characters. He's crappy now, but in the original X-Factor and all through his brush with Apocalypse he was great. He can be a bit of a whiny beeatch sometimes, but he is a hero. As for blue, I don't like it either. I know they like to use blue cuz it prints well...but enough with the blue characters! He's got his feathers back, they may as well turn him all the way back and cut down on the overabundance of azure.

I also really like Beast and Iceman. Wolvie is cool, but sooo overdone. *yawn* I actually liked Gumbo in his series. I know not why they cancelled it. *sigh* I like Kitty and Rachel also. Storm kicks ass too.

As for dislikes, Cable. Big guy with gun...ooohh, how original. Bishop, (see Cable). Rogue. Banshee, sound waves? Come on, please! Cyke! Jean! Jubilee! Marrow, eewwww...

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

Nightie- 'Nuff said.

Beast- Enough furryness to be interesting, and I have a weak spot for smart men.

Storm- When well written, by, let's say early Claremont, she's the best.

Collossus- Artistic shyguy. He'll always have a bit of my heart http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Penance- The mysterious one. That is, before she was hopelessly screwed up.

Not favs-

Gambit- He's not funny, he's not sexy and his accent is rediculous.

Wolverine- Can you say "Overexposed"?

Psylocke- Inconsistant, onedimensional, poorly written, unoriginally powered...And the way she is usually drawn makes me think of the "bizarre breasts" column on Sequential Tart ( http://www.sequentialtart.com/ )

Redundant and boring. Besides, I want JEAN to be the most powerful Telekenetic on Earth and Prof. XAVIER to the most powerful Telepath.
IMO having Nate around just takes something away from two infinitely better characters.
