For all XMen Evolution fans....(and if you're not a fan you're really missing out)....this week is "Shadowed Past" which involves Rogue, KURT, and Mystique....as rumor goes he may discover the truth about his connection to Mystique! WoW ... I'm sure you all can relate to the fact that i'm hopelessly biased so its hard for me to be objective.
Is it just me or is Kurt really THE most interesting (Visually, powers, character development-wise, personality) character on the ENTIRE SHOW?!? ( http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )

What an incredible mix of Action, Drama, Mystery and character development!
(It was SO sweet to see Rogue trying to comfort her 'annoying little brother'. She's come a long way since she was a memeber of Raven's squad.)
If Evo keeps doing such an incredible job with the character I think the people behind the sequel to the X-Men movie are going to HAVE to take note! (How could you NOT have Nightcrawler in the 1st sequel? He would kick a@@ on SO many different levels!)

I found this ep thouroughly satisfying. Why can't the comics be this good? Misty was certainly the most tragic character. She finally showed some humanity. And how about Kurt having been genetically experimented on? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif I don't think that's ever been suggested in the comics. The Brotherhood were very entertaining, especially Pietro. I liked Kurt and Rogue's bonding scene at the end. In fact I can't think of any flaws in this ep, it was very very good.

Just one question, does every single X-Evo episode HAVE to have an explosion? Of all zhe one's I can remember zhere is always someting blowing up! Today was the biggest and the best (Fly Wolvie, FLY!) but still zhis iz getting repetitive.
Poor Kurt, just a little blue guinea pig for Magneto. *sniff*
In closing, as anyone else noticed zhat Avalanche wears a FREAKING FISH BOWL ON HIS HEAD! Everyone else has a half-decent-yet-homemade-outfit, zhen zhere's him!

This is really the first time Mystique seems really human.
BTW: She definately has a wider range of ability with her power than the comic continuity. She turned into a little bird!!
I really love how this series is turning out. Its already done so much more with its first season than the Fox series. I hope it becomes bigger than Pokemon.

Okay something I'm wondering about. Anyone else noticed that when he's hanging out (literally) in his bedroom, the elf is his usual fuzzy blue self, but he's wearing his civvies? When he shut his inducer off at school, he was in his spandex. Then when he's at home he's in civvies, and when he goes to the construction site, spandex again. Does he set his inducer to do that or is that the old "unstable molecules" trick.

Okay, as a business major with a degree in common sense, I think Marvel is missing out on a huge opportunity in Evolution. Doncha think they should run commercials for the Evo toys during the show? Or how about a commercial for the videos? Or the comics? Or are comics like Cigarettes, where it's illegal to advertise on TV?
Oh, and by the way, that was, indeed, a stuffed dragon that Kitty was sleeping with. I didn't notice until you said something. Good eyes!!

Unfortunately KC, there's a really STUPID law that's meant to protect children that says that you can't advertise products of a show durring the commercials for that show.
It doesn't apply to cable, which is why Pro-Wreslting is able to sell its own merchandise like crazy. And i think sports are excempt as well.
Pokemon can get around this by showing adversiments for its movies. Or by the sheer number of merchandise it sells that it can show tons of commecials durring everone else's show.
I think the law is really unfair.
Funky law! Never heard of that, but I'd assume that they could still advertise the comics on there, since the show is a prodcut of the comic.
If you're hanging around Garbie, wanna take a bit in the chatroom?
How is this law supposed to protect the children? It seems more that it saves the parent from the endless whines of "Buy me that!" from the kids.

I so did not see the stuffed dragon, thanks for pointing it out, very cool!
As for the costume, I think when he is out and about he has his costume on so that he can be ready for action. Kinda like a boy scout always prepared. But when he is home at the mansion, he is relaxing doesn't have to be ready for action. Maybe like how Spiderman or Superman have their costumes either under their civies or carrying with them when they are out and about. So when there is danger into the alter ego they go.
This is my theory any way.
That makes sense , but in the show he doesn't seem to have the time to change. When he first put that inducer on, he was wearing an overcoat, which disappeared and seemed to become those civvies. That gave me the impression that the civvies were not real but illusion. I just find it odd that now he's wearing them as if they were real clothing over his natural form. Maybe they were real all along, they were just hidden underneath his coat. The problem with that is we know that his "exquisite costume" is real also, since it was given to him in a box. So when they show civvies-Kurt turn off his inducer to reveal red and black clad Nightcrawler, and then later shows NC hanging out at home in his civvies again, it get's confusing as to which is real and which is illusion.
What's that? It's a kid's show? I guess I just like to obsess about these kinds of things. I hope he figures out someday how to tuck his shirt into his pants.

NO! :rolleyes http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif Now I'm intrigued what what was spliced. It's probably what made him look the way he is, which is kind of a bummer, but cool all the same. I really like the way the characters are developed, and I'd like the relationship between him and Rogue is going. It also almost made me cry at the end. But what's with all the discussion about changing his clothes? It's cartoon logic, let's just leave it that. It's not supposed to make sense! Ah, well. BTW, do you think that Kitty's stuffed dragon is a reference to Lockheed?

As far as the reference to experimentation Im not surprised.I have wondered about it.All his gifts are a little much.I think he was born blue ofcourse but I think someone could have saw the potential in Kurt .ie the indigo skin wich makes him perfect for hiding and sneak attacks and just added on other things.
