I really can't see myself picking this one up. It reminds me of the time when I saw Siryn on a cover wearing the traditional green and yellow Banshee costume, this was before I knew there was a Siryn, and I thought "What the-?! Banshee has... a chest!" The idea of a female Nightcrawler bothers me in some no doubt deeply psychological way. Probably fits into Freud's theory somewhere, sex and aggression... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif. I can sum up my reaction in one word: GAH!

Also, isn't there already a Marvel character named Nocturne? A cop who got turned into a blonde bat creature in a Spider-Man annual? Yes, I'm sure of it! If she's dead, is the name just up for grabs?

She looks like Kurt and Cece's love child to me. I kinda hope so, their interaction during claremont last run was one of the highlights for me. I like her look, but I hope she has her own unique powers and personality.

She at least seems to have inherited her father's sense of humor. And just because she has dreadlocks doesn't mean she'll be Cecelia's daughter. After all, teenagers are supposed to act strange sometimes.

True, true. It looks a lot like braids, actually, and even I, miss whitey, have had braids. I got them done in Mexico, but I could only stand to keep them for about a week.

Very nice painting, but that looks more like the Nighty from the Millenial Visions scenario where the x-men witch genders. The Wolvie in that one scares me.

Oh I totally agree....just because she has dreadlocks doesn't mean she's Cecilias daughter! Cecilia Reyes didn't even have the dreadlocks in when she first appeared in X-Men. I used to have dreadlocks once myself, and that doesn't mean my kids are going to. I like it as is, but if you want to appease them and make it more Nocturnish, make the ears MUCH longer and more pointed, and probably lose the tail. I reeeeeeeeeeeally like the BAMF effect and her hands and feet...VERY VERY VERY VERY COOOOOOOL!!!!!!!

Uh, hi guys. Er, look, I'm new, so please, be nice.
I was just browsing thru the posts when I noticed a few things that you guys might like to know (or already know, but eh ...). Well, unless Stan Lee's pulling a fast one on me, the femme Wolverine in the background might be his daughter Rina, a.k.a Wild Thing. But I'm starting to doubt that, 'cuz Wild Thing has psychic claws instead of adamantium or bone.
And I've seen several pics of Nocturne w/ a tail ... just like daddy.
I dunno if you wanted to know any of this, but I figured it could be the subject of my first post before I get past my newbie-ness.

Any more news on Exiles/Nightcrawler's daughter Nocturne/the supposed daughter of Wolverine Wild Thing? I've been out of the loop lately, what with school and all (just finished dissecting pigs today, MEIN GOTT, DANKE!!!).
I've been trying to keep up w/ Nightcrawler, seeing as how he's my second favorite male X-Man (occasionally, he ousts Wolvie ... it depend on how much the last Wolvie issue sucked), & I've been planning to write a fic with him and another character of mine as the main characters. You guys'll be the first to read it, 'kay? ;D
Just keep me updated, please!
