The people are: Wolvie with the cigar, Nightcrawler, Iceman with the sunglasses, Angel with the wing, Chamber with the glow and spots, and tow new characters that might be completely brand new or might not be.

Congrats on finding an image. Where did you find it?

Maybe finally something will happen with the priest thing. Who knows it might work. Claremont didn't have the time to develop on the change in Kurt's character, the new creators might finally be able to take it to a great level.

I never liked when they make a change with a character then, go oops; it was a great idea but we can't make it work so lets forget it ever happened. Kuddos to the creators for sticking with it.

Question I saw Wolverine, Angel, Kurt, Chamber, who are the other two?

Sunglasses? I thought they were ice cubes...

Hmmm. Now that I look at it again, The Shaggy One appears to be female... *blinks* Marrow? Cecilia? Jeez, it could be anyone! Can anyone think of a female character with skinny arms, blonde hair (or costume that looks like blonde hair) and an oddly shaped head? And little red stars that could be earrings or maybe even magic little fairies buzzing around her head...

I found out over at X-Fan that the "fire extinguisher guy" is the new villain, Mister Clean.

Well, I know I've repeatedly stated that I hate the priest thing, and I doubt that its something I'll ever be able to take seriously...still, just having him change his mind like it was just some casual fling would be even more dumb. And I have to admit, I'm very intrigue by this group of characters, and will be checking that issue out.

Is Mr. Clean for real? I was wondering if that's a joke. I swear the name Mr Clean means to me that smiling bald muscle-man on the floor cleaner bottles.

Ditto REX! My friends, I am getting really, REALLY excited about the goings on in the X-universe this Summer! I am a little surprised to see the Priests' collar on Kurt, (considering Unlimited #30) but as REX n' SPATCH implied, i'm going to wait and see where Casey's going with this before I get too judgemental.

Gotta love the fact that his visage is right after the image of 'Mr. Franchise' himself, Wolverine. It seems to emphasize how integral Kurt is to the new squad. ( Or maybe it's just my 'Nightcrawler bias' 'causing me to read more into the cover than what's there...? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/tongue.gif )

I have to admit, the ironist in me quite likes the use of the commercial brand name of a floor cleaner for a sinister ethnic/genetic cleansing fanatic. Pretty clever. And eerie.

And I'm with you, Spatch. As much as I'd like the priest thing to just go away, it would be worse to dump it like it never happened. So here's hoping Casey comes up with a meaningful, in-character way of dumping it in the near future. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think you're not too far off BAMF! I've come across a quote of Casey's from 1999 (before he was involved in the x-men) in which he said if he was writing the x-men, he'd write-out or kill most of them, leaving Nighty and Wolvie. One line that stands out is: "These two characters truly embody what this new era of X-Men will stand for,..." Who knows, Drags may have been right, maybe Casey will be our hero. He might even make Father Kurt cool. There's been some things Casey has said that have ticked me off, and I just don't like the tone of his articles or that damned publicity photo of him that looks more appropraite in people magazine, but I'm feeling fairly optimistic that his Uncanny is going to be a good run.

Does anyone else think Bobby looks like the Evo Scott? Just imagine those shades are red. Then again, they do look like icecubes. Maybe Iceman's getting nearsighted from all that accounting, so he made himself glasses. And it looks like Angel's got the shaved-head look this time. I wonder if his head gets cold when he's flying about.

Being ever late to get in on the topic as ususal, here's my two pence: I REALLY like the pic and am getting super excited!! (As soon as I saw the info in the latest Wizard stating that Kurt will still be a priest in training, I knew I HAD to get over here to see the reaction...as if I didn't know what it would be! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif) The bottom pic in question looks like a girl with ponytail, not sure who it is (real insight there, Shady!) and the "fire extinguisher" guy - Smokey Bear???
