Once again the loquacious LUSCUS gives us some fantastic news!
While I cant say i'm a HUGE fan, I actually like Deodato's work on the HULK and BATMAN. Ditto REX about Pruett, but what the hey...anything that shines the spotlight on Kurt is O.K in my book. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
(Maybe he'll even get the cover!)
BAMF!

Apologies if this already got mentioned on another thread, but I thought I'd just call everyone's attention to another part of the July solicitations, which says that X-Men Unlimited #32 is going to have a solo Nightcrawler story, written by Joe Pruett and drawn by Mike Deodato.
Can't say I'm a huge Pruett fan, but Deodato's okay, and the more elf exposure, the better, right? (Well, within reason, of course.)

Ohh nice http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif some little coloring booboos there, but you have to forgive them, it's great work. And the gargoyles are back too. Nighty & Gargoyles always work out fine!

Man if the story is as cool as this image...cant really express too excited. Fanboy in me coming out. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
The classic costume, (I miss very much) is back for a single story. And just looking at the panels, we see Kurt almost playing with his prey, as it were. So a kickback to the more joyful Kurt that has been much missed by NC fans.
The only problem I see is a color mistake on the boot, but that could just be for this image and should probably be fixed for the final release.

(off topic, yes)speaking 'bout that preview: on the dazzler cover of #32 we see good old Lockheed! Now there's somebody I've missed.I wonder if the girl carrying him is Kitty. Exeptionally ugly painting by the way...

I actually liked the cover, maybe just because it is different from a mainstream cover. I miss the days of the start of the New Mutants comic. There was always a good cover on it.
While I haven't throughly enjoyed all the plot twists that have been occuring lately in the X-Realm, the sudden explosion of alternate styles is very refreshing. And I think will help people realize that more than one style exists. This comment stems from the fact that I am a big Joe Mad and {went blank on the name the guy who did the comic Crimson} fan. There styles are very cool and dynamic. But unfortunately not new anymore, as everyone lately seems to have some version of mimicking those styles.
So stuff like Unlimted #30, was a refreshing change. Mix of unused styles (at least in the Marvel Universe sense) really changed the dynamic of the stories. Some of the art wasn't great, but at least overall it was different. As long as the artist can achieve a style (whatever style that may be) that seems to be fluid I am happy.
Or simply I like watercolors, so http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif. I think I spot Jubilee as well.

1)That's the most vicious looking Gargoyle i've ever seen!
2)Great art, but the artist kinda over did the shoulder points on Kurt's costume.
3)Good eye! I hope they fix that thing on his boot. (though they probably wont..)
4)It looks like this story will probably take place in the past.
5)I'm toatally looking forward to this issue!

DITTO to everything you just said GARBLE!
Now THAT is the kind of scene that I wanna see Kurt in. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif (DEODATO does a pretty good Nightcrawler!)
It's looks like something BATMAN might pull. (wich might be one of the reasons I like it so much) It's also great to see the classic costume again!
Is it just me or is X-MEN: Evolution really giving Mr. Wagner an nice little image boost?
( From last year 'till now, i've noticed a definite spike in 'Elfish' respect and awareness accross the web http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )
