I just got back from seeing Jay in the hospital. He's not doing so good right now. Jay had to get some fluid drained from his spine so he's pretty messed up. He's in good spirits though, saying how the hospital food will kill him before anything else does, and being a wiseass as always. He did ask me to let you guys know what's up since he won't be on for a while. His doctors did say that his condition is treatable, and with time he will recover fully with no side effects, but he's going to have a lot of pills to take for a while.
Also, he wanted me to tell the following people this. Forgive me if I get some of it wrong, he was slightly out of it when he wrote this.

It's Serin again. I'll be picking up Jay sometime around noon today. I relayed your messages to him and he said thanks to all of you. They gave him a slight radiation treatment last night in case he had any cancer cells forming, so he's pretty drained and won't be doing much for a while. I will say this about him, I've known him since he got here and he's a warrior at heart. I know he will get better.

god i feel like shit. why is it everytime i leave the doctor, i feel worse than i did when i got there?
much love to everyone for their support. and yes, the spinal sucked, the radiation sucked more, but the food sucked the most. serin snuck me in some real food last night so i wouldn't starve, plus when he picked me up this morning, the little bastard had put up a biohazard sign in my living room. first chance i get, i'm beating him down.
i have to go back in two weeks for treatment and a check up, armed with my 7 bottles of pills in various colors and sizes, some that relieve my aching and soreness, some that treat my rp, and some i have i think are for entertainmet purposes only, due to the enormus size. doc said that in about 2 months i should be all better, and given the way i feel right now, this is gonna be the longest 60 odd days of my life.

I'm doing the best I can... which means taking these golf ball sized pills and sleeping all the time. The effects of the radiation treatments are wearing off, I'm gradually getting my strength back, and I don't glow in the dark much anymore... but still I sleep. yesterday, I woke up at 8:45 am, talked to ski for about a half hour, and then went back to bed after I took my pills. I woke up at 11 pm, talked to luna, and went back to bed shortly after. Time for feeling sorry for myself is over, i need to get back on my feet. I have some ass to kick next month...

Don't be freaked out about the whole sleep thing. Sleep is when your body does it's best cell-repair work. The prime time for healing you so to speak. So those little micro-biotic repair workers are just working a little overtime for you. For those of you that know, and the select few that don't...
Tuesday I did what Guiness has put on record as the Dumbest Thing Ever. I tried to go back to work. Yes, yes, I know... it was dumb. But my superiors told me to go home (see my question in the Q/D thread if you wanna know how they told me) and I did. Fast forward a few hours. I'm talking to jely, we're being silly.... and I start coughing. REALLY bad. And wouldn't you know it... this cough came with a prize. So I open my front door to liberate what I think is the old lining of my lungs, and *makes hawking loogie sound* out it goes. With a dark...... red........damn that was dark....... dare i say... (dare, dare) TINT to it. Blood. Good old fashioned blood. Just like the stuff they took out by the gallon the past few weeks. And the same color as that bitchin nosebleed I had earlier that morning. I, like a dumbass, just stared at it once it hit the ground, certain that whatever that is on the pavement will sprout legs and walk away, while my brain reached over and violently pressed the panic button. I ended my conversation with Jely, and expidited my movement to medical facility.
Short story longer...
When they took my vitals. I had a 101.4 degree temp, a pulse that they never told me, and a 105 over 38 blood pressure. Some one wanna raise that red flag now? I've seen dead people with higher BP than that. So now I got every doc in that place crawling over each other to get to me. they run tests gallore... they give me more drugs, they tell me to stop taking certain drugs, they give me IV fluids, they rip out my finger nails as they yell at me in german accents. oh, it was a whirlwind. Finally, they let me go home, and so I went. Oddly, they never did say what or why this happened. I guess I'll never know fully.
Moral of the Story... Tuesdays suck ass.
