Hello Terry!
I'm an italian SIP fan and I only want to thank you for the great emotions that you give me with your stories!
Last week, for my birthday I had a little cat as a gift: I gave her the name of: KATINA CHOVANSKI --KATCHOO
She's wonderful and so cute, I 'll send you a phot of her.
Here in Italy we have to wait for a long time for your books. Try to solve this problem!!!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Ciao!
Yuppee, another one!
Welcome, and have some oreos, as they say here. Or some nutella, or pizza, etc. etc. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
Suit yourself.
Anyway, I don't think Terry as anything to do with the Italian version delays... We should say something to the Italian editor, Macchia Nera, but it seems like they're no way to be found on the net...
So, what do you all think about Italian translations?

As a matter of fact, Castelvecchi is located exactly in the same building where I live when I'm in Rome (stesso pianerottolo, per la precisione...); if you need help for a sit-in, just let me know http://www.pwrhouse.com/ubb/wink.gif
And, by the way, pleased to meet y'all: I'm the Italian fan who lives further south here, I think... http://www.pwrhouse.com/ubb/smile.gif

btw, I have a question for you fellow Italians: how do you usually get SiP?
Have you subscribed, and, in that case, how long does it take for the issues to get here?
Or do you wait for the TPB?

I buy the original version, I'm fed up of having to wait months for the it vers tpb.
The problem is that here in Rome there is just ONE retailer which buys SIP directly from a wide scale distributor. Then when he has got the SIP, he sells it to smaller retailers. The whole process takes a looooong time, and it's quite a torment. Here we are still waiting for the 39th, while everywhere around the world people read the 41st. I lost the 37th all because of a "disguido" in this devilish system. That's a good lesson about the limits of monopolistic behaviour....
ps..."you're the bird on the brim hypnotised by the wirl"....eh eh eh

Ma daaai! Un reggiano doc! Io sto in provincia, dalle parti di Sant'Ilario...
Can't believe it, this guy and me are from the same town!
Don't you think it would be nice to have an Italian-speaking forum about SIP? It's about time to do it...

(tanto poi facciamo i conti a casa...)
Macchia Nera is a division of Castelvecchi, well not exactly, I know Castelvecchi is the owner of Macchia Nera.
They have their headquarter here in Rome. But I don't know exactly where. I'll go ask a friend of mine who makes a fanzine edited by Castelvecchi. Well, we could just make a sit-in in front of the place...
(Almost a year to publish the 8th volume, argh!)

My father is from Sicily, Porto Palo di Capo Passero, and I've been several times there.

Porto Palo (and some of the places nearby, like Marzamemi or Vend?cari) has one of the most beautiful sand beaches in Sicily; almost tropical...You're very lucky to go there this summer!
How about organizing an (un)official meeting of the italian SiP fans there? http://www.pwrhouse.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Why not?
Because you don't have enough money to meet me in Florence, how can you think we can stay in Sicily on holiday?
Northeners will find hard to meet in Sicily...
