there's a violet in my bed
that has awakened
and wondered where I am
her hair is fanned out
on the pillows
like spilled ink.
my violet is
mildly sunburned,
her thighs are
firm and warm,
and her center waits,
hungers
for me

if he wasn't, i would be. damn, those were good. i like the images brought up in the first one--it's descriptive enough that i can almost taste it, yet it uses only a few words.

the second one is really kool too--i like the repetition, the listing, and the beauty of it. both of them are good in that they say so much with so little. i really dig that.

wow, these are good. They almost feel like song lyrics. Have you ever thought about setting them to music? The first one kinda feels like a Skunk Anansie song. Raw and powerful rock.
