ok... so its not really an analysis... but
it would be fun to see how people here really
write stuff since we all type crap.
so, if you want, copy the following text and
scan that mo fo... then post it so we all
can see what yer writing is all about.
and don't be writing over and over... just
slap it up normally. =)
it is important that you write all of the
text because there are certain aspects of the
text that show obvious differences... such as
using quotes and stuff. =P

Are you implying that my writing is worse than Jason's?...We all know that he took his time writing that...because I have seen his "real" handwriting and it is unreadable...it's odd...I use to have very nice and neat handwriting...it looked almost like type...I had teachers comment on how my writing looked like type...but somewhere between then and now I started writing faster...I guess I got less patient since then...and now my writing is some strange cross breed of print and cursive writing...if you look closely you can see where many letters run together at one point or another...this is so I don't have to lift off the paper...like cursive writing...and don't say I should just write cursive...because even in elementary when we were suppost to use it...I didn't therefore when I write cursive it is still the exact way I learned it...with the loops and all...

i don't have a scanner. otherwise you would see that my 'cursive' is VERY VERY similar to shatzy's - not as neat,i mean it COULD be neat if i wanted to ) not so well defined, i don't do those R's anymore, i do the same sort of S's with larger loop on top than on bottom (and my capitals looks like KBs but taller and more 'construction like'. but- that's only this week. i can make my handwriting look any way i want to. i have no defined style.
they were analysing the handwriting of the DC sniper(s) John muhammad on TV (i don't think i spelt correctly) and they were saying that big spacing between words signified anti social tendencies/behavioural patterns. seriously, i could make that sort of shit up as well. BUT, lets say that is the case, does having no one definate style of handwriting mean that i am unreliable? flippant? without grounding? i wonder what we can read into our handwritings if we tried to self analyse them.

that is so interesting. you can see obvious
differences; the Ds come from bottom to top,
left to right... whereas KB's go from top to
bottom.

If you'd like I can do my lowercase writing? But if you want cursive you can get stuffed.. I haven't written cursive since grade 4.

LOL... i totally agree. i dunno wtf decided that
cursive was 'adult'...
i remember when i was being taught cursive writing,
the teacher was making it out like it was something
profound and special... like a 'coming of age'
type thing.
i hated it especially because she was really
tight assed about it and we had to be PERFECT
in doing it.
i hated writing Ss in cursive because it was
so similar to an ampersand... ( & ).... and
i'd always fuck it up.
i once worked with a female that, IMO, had PERFECT
cursive writing. i would love to look at her
writing after she was done. i secretly despised her.

I wrote cursive forever and then a few years ago I made the switch back to print.
I'd say I write print 75% of the time, but if its a lot of writing to do then I go cursive. It is quite a bit faster for me to write cursive since I can just flow all the letters together into one big sloppy mess.

I agree with TG about cursive being quicker, coz you can just make a mess out of it. Doesn't allow for anyone but myself to read it, though.
When I get home, I'll write the paragraph in cursive, once slow, once fast, and we can all comapre the differences. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

I still do not have a scanner. I might be able to find a digital camera, but then the writing would look like crap.
