Do you get frustrated...? (anime topic) ^.^

Do you get frustrated over an anime series? If so, what about?
Usually, I get frustrated when the anime is too short. Take, Gravitation and Yami no matsuei for example, I just felt that they were too damn short! The manga to each series is a WHOLE LOT LONGER but the anime itself is just left up in the air...I'm left craving more but there is no more...it just sucks... >_<

i hate when theres potential for a good romance and its ruined! t.t

When chars do something INCREDIBLY stupid and obvious... or when chars beat other chars for misunderstadning (Naru, Akane, Kaname)

Heh, I agree Xel, that is kind of annoying but it's entertaining as well, that is, until it gets repetative. -_-;

It doesn't frustrate me, but i do really hate when a series is made larger and larger only for comercial purpouses!

It also frustrates me when is going to happen something important, and i haven't the next episode to see it. Whatcha gonna happen!!!! >_<UUU

It frustrates me also the lack of sense of the last episodes of NGE, they are just too confusing! O_OU

When it doesnt have an ending..... Kare Kano just ended w/o any endings, unlike its manga counterpart. -_-

When every characters in the anime gets all depressed, I also get really depressed and frustrated, like in Evangelion and A!MG.

Agh! i also hate when a series has a sudden end and it says "Get the Ova! ^^"

So true, Akane and Naru misunderstand situations involving Ranma and Keitarou extremely easily, but that's because it's the way their characters are. Cute but violent and really scary when their pissed off. >_<

Hmmmm...I see. I've only seen the few episodes of the first series and it was all right but not one of the best anime I've seen. I didn't really care much for the fanservice in the series either...but at least it didn't overdo it to the extreme that Love Hina went... (^^);;

I much prefer darker series now, but cute/comedic/light-hearted anime is good once and a while.

For those who are wondering about the Kare Kano ending, i believe they stopped making episodes because they had caught up with the manga, and they didn't want to make a series of fillers. I guess they haven't gotten around to going on with the series. But i've only seen one episode, so i have no clue how it ends. I'm basing this on things i've read.

Anyway, one that that frustrates me is the speed difference in some animes. DBZ is the slowest anime ever, while FLCL is one of the fastest. The amount of story they fit into one episode of FLCL is equal to 50 episodes of DBZ.

And yet, i still watch both of them... (But, of course, i enjoy FLCL much more)

When an anime gets too repetitive. Like DBZ for example, it's fight fight fight , kill bad guy, find out he's not dead, fight fight fight, kill him, find out that not only is he not dead but now he's superpowerful and can't be defeated by ANY force in the world, fight fight etc... (I loathed Toonami for the Cell Saga)

Also, annoying characters! Geez, like Trunks for example. I don't like him ?? And there's plenty more

Thats what counts as a spoiler these days?! Thats the most predictable thing ever!

Also, the last 4 episodes of Nadesico seem rushed to me, like they NEEDED to finish the plot up no mattre what, and they had spent too much filler to do it

Bad endings are the worst. Digimon 02 had one of the worst endings in anime history, in my humble opinion, it just stunk.

Ah yes, Digimon 02. I kinda liked that ending, but it will never rank that high in my fav endings list... although i haven't really seen the end of many animes. Either ways, i'm looking forward to Digimon Frontier/04. That series has potential. I need to see the end of 03 though. It looks good.

I thought I would like the Tamers season but when I watched it I was very disappointed. It was good in the begining but then it just weirded me out towards the end.
I hope that 04 will be better... -_-;

I've already seen the first episode as a sub. It's got my interest, and it has some potential. However, the fact that the kids become digimon themselves is a bit...very different.

Kare Kano manga is up to where that main guy (forgot all of their names. Been about a year or so) got on TV, and his real mom saw him on the TV. I doubt the TV series will continue though. I sure hope so.

Frustrating things in anime... Well, I haven't watched much anime, but I'll mention a couple things:

1. When a stupid fight takes weeks (Goku-Freezer, for example). It's just plain ridiculous.

2. When two characters are bound to be together but they are so silly and they misunderstand each other constantly; and when things start to get better by a tiny bit, they have to screw it up at the end. I've seen this in Ranma (Ranma/Akane). Only Ryo/Shenmue is worse than Ranma WRT girls, and Akane should try to make an effort to understand others at least ONCE in her life.

I also hate it when they do everything to make it longer and you're dying to see something happening but it never does, like in one of the final chapters, where Genma does the impossible to avoid his wife, I'm like: the first 1000 pages of it are ok, but after the 1001th I start to get tired of it......

Finally, the ending was terrible. Just when things seemed to have finally composed for Akane and Ranma, they had to ruin everything and make it as bad as possible.

I think anime creators should do more acts of fan service. And when I say "fan service" I don't mean to show the characters nude only, I mean they should do what fans want; for example, it's obvious everybody wants to see Ranma and Akane finally getting along. They make bread thanks to fans, after all, so *everything* they do should be an act of fan service [img]smile.gif[/img] .

I was really disappointed when I bought the Kare kano boxset, expecting to see the whole series but instead it stopped somewhere in the middle, which really sucked. -o-;
What went wrong? Did Gainax run out of money and weren't able to complete the series? Or did they just drop it?

Kare Kano is being emmited here in Andalusia! in Canal Sur TV. I saw only one episode, though it was really simpathetic! ^^ Does it really have that "sudden end"?

I guess that Gainax was seing that they were doing a "normal series"...

Then, i can be thanked that Vandread second stage doesn't have it! i'd be really annoyed if it didn't have a clear end.

You can bet it! i like it because of the girls (i'd lie if i didn't say it) and because of the story. Is funny, and is not very complex, so you can see it without having to "think" too much about second meanings and the like. And also is a Sci-fi story, which i also like, so, it is almost perfect for me ^^

Speaking of Ranma and Akane's wedding.. how many bride dresses would they buy? XD XD XD XD

Anyway. Long fights like Freezer-gokuu's one is a thing that also happens in the manga, and, until some point, Freezer-Gokuu's fight was in the plot of Dragon Ball, but, what i do not really like is the next part, after the Cell game. (Buu's part)

It is just to make more money! Let's see, Gokuu is dead right? and he has died twice! why the heck don't you leave him alone in his afterlife!

DBZ is pretty old. The series ended when I was 8. DBZ isnt really known for its plot anyway.

Another thing I really can't stand is "too much love" or "love at first sight." Take the Miaka x Tamahome relationship. Oh god. -o-;
It's like very minute of the day they're calling out each other's names or being so lovey-dovey it makes me sick. I like romance but too much is just too much. As for "love at first sight" I only like those kinds of relationships at certain times, it depends on how their portrayed or played out but when things happen too quick and there is absolutely no character development and it seems like it was all just thrown together.

Oh ya, I really cant stand those corny "love-love" stuff like in G Gundam. It was just horrible.
