Ok folks, better get this going on the August Meet. It's going to be held at Malby this month. Need some input on what's the best date for everyone on it, so post away with your responses. Your input will make or break it, for this is your club too. Let's get this rolling...

What! The August meet already! Wow. I feel like an idiot for not logging in to the board since the June 8th meet, here I have been thinking that the July meet was next Saturday!! I thought we all agreed it would be the last weekend in July. My fault, I wish I could have gone though, it looks like it was a blast.
I don't really know my way around Maltby that well but I think it would be fun to go on the infamous Maltby fun run!! As far as dates that work well for me, any weekend not including the 2nd is great, and preferably on a Sunday, as I work most Saturdays.
Ok, Julie, so we have Sunday the 10th and 17th up. I'll be out of state on the 24th, so that ones out for me. Anymore people have anything to say?

Won't be able to make the 17th, as I will be autocrossing in OR that day.
The 10th works for me though.

This is what we have so far for the August Meet from the input given:
Malby 'RUN' Meet
August 10th, Sunday
Meet up time: 12 noon
If that's good for everyone planning to attend it, I'll start making up the page for it sometime early this next week if no one else has anything to input.

At the meet there last year, we ate at a good pizza/Italian place next door to that country store restaurant (or whatever that is).
We should meet there
I think we better start some sort of mailing list. Seems like some people arent being informed of our meets ahead of time and end up missing them. Also im willing to put up my cell number for people to call if they cant find us or if they get lost or if they come late ...
If you are on the members pages and are using a different email address and want yours updated email me at with your new address and i will make sure to change it. If you do not have a page in the members area and would liek one, email me with your info as well.
I think a mass emailing is a good idea. I've noticed that that faded out.
I'd be happy to send a meet notice to everyone's email (from their member page) if you guys want. Let me know.
David, that would be fine if you want to do an e-mail list and send it out for the meets and such. I have no problems with that.
Thomas, I would hope that by this time Francois has contacted you through e-mail on the TSofWA site, I talked with him Saturday afternoon about it.

Hey guys,
Well i think the 8th or the 9th would be cool. My Girl got a 93 del sol si so im going to have her join up with us.
Hey Dave,
Next time wait till the week of the meet before mass mailing everyone. If you do it too far in advance, people forget. Also just include pertinent infor like location, meeting time, and a contact number. Also try to include a map or a link to a map so people cand dl it and print it out.
Hey Geo,
Still no word from Francois yet. I guess he is taking his time or is busy with other stuff...i will let you know when i hear from him.
I will try to make it if it is on the 10th. Depends on when the Oregon meet is.

Geo--I just circled the 10th on my calendar so I won't miss this meet! From what I've heard of the Maltby fun run it's really...FUN! I can't wait to see all of you guys on Sunday and catch up on the stuff that's been going on in the past few months with everyone and their cars. Hope to see everyone there.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I had just wanted to clue people in on what had been going on with the group and whatnot, and try to encourage more use of the message board. I assume you got my follow up email. I'm sending a little reminder out today as well.Quote:

If people don't check the board, then get an email about a meet only a few days in advance, a lot of them probably aren't going to be able to make it, what with work and other obligations, or having plans for that day already.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday!
OK people the Maltby meet is set for tomorrow, Sunday at noon, hope to see a lot of people there, hope it doesn't rain like it's been doing the passed few days, (keep your fingers crossed).
For the Tacoma area folks we'll meet up at SpeedLine at 10:15 am and leave at 10:30 or so to make it to Maltby by 12 noon.
David did you send out a reminder, I didn't get one yet? Also are the license plate frames done and are you going to bring a few of them?
