I'd rather fade, less painful.
Id rather fade away because at least then if people remembered me it would be those people who i would want to remember me and not aload of strangers who only remembered me because i did somethign " kool". Yes. I would rather fade away.
I disagree, go out in a blaze of glory. Give people something to talk about whether its for the right reasons or not.
I wouldnt like that because i wouldnt want people i hated or didnt know to remember me
Saw this topic and thought of Neil young, and then I though, oh no! Please don't be a stupid Cobain thread, instead, to my suprise it's something far worse. If you are talking about dying (which I assume you are), don't be stupid! The answer is quite clear.
id rather burn out, its more exciting, and fading away is like people will forget.

yer but you dont know that, for all you know, when we die we could be invisable and still be living on earth, just that no can see us.

yeah, something like that, but what's the point in even thinking about it, I'd like to be suprised when I die, so I'd rather not think about if there is or isn't an after life.
But burning away sucks, no two ways about it.
As far as i can see people have got the wrong impression. Burn out or fade away says to me - Its the way you live your life ie.-
full throttle, balls out, enjoy life to the to the full, dare to laugh/smile
or -
be quiet , do as your told, dont make a fuss, become one of the plastic population, watch(buy) MTV, buy a new mobile phone every month cause you must have the latest model.
well if that's the case, I'd go with option one. Two is just crap.
