OK so who is going to save what?
I am currently working on saving the ABP Character Descriptions Topic
I'll work on the various PATD incarnations, with coherent story lines, this weekend. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
If the site is up, that is...
By the way, I will try and post any topics I save at my homesite, in the same place I posted the topics from Pathfinder.
The next series of B5 books deals with the Techno Mages. According to Amazon.com the first book is due out in March of 2001
Cool, I love the Techno Mages. They were fun to watch in the Legions of Fire books

A message from the Master at Speculative Vision.
Looks like we are more than welcome there:
I never mind meeting new people!) I've read some of the posts at Zocolo but don't want to post myself because I don't want it to
look like I'm poaching or anything. I'm very flattered by your endorsement and encouragement to join in. The interest you have generated is most welcome. You're obviously a clever, fun, and active group, so I look forward to the opportunity to get to know everyone and hope Speculative
Vision can provide you with another place to gather.
Thank you very much for the comments about Speculative Vision. I'm very glad you enjoy my little labor of love. Its a bit eclectic and covers a broad range--that's a reflection of my own interests. What do you know,
people like it! It's funny how your basic vanity Sci-Fi fan project can became popular virtually all by itself. I get a big kick out of it, and am always open to suggestions from visitors so don't hesitate to let me know what you would like to see (can't promise I can do it, but I'll always
listen and will do what I can!)
I do hope some of your friends will stick around long enough to give SV a
good chance. I can eventually make people moderators if that becomes
necessary... I don't have too much trouble with spam and rude posters (lucky
I guess!) so I've always been able to tend to that myself. Anyone can
create new topics, so there isn't a whole lot for a moderator to do anyway!
In any event, if you're the only one who hangs out for the long run, I'm
very glad to get to know you and look forward to many interesting
discussions with you in the future.
See ya!

Here is the reply I got regarding whether EMAIL will be moved to the Vines 2 boards. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
Greetings,
I apologize for the inconvenience, however, we are not having email in vines

I know some of you use SFV e-mails but I never liked the set up and rather use Yahoo or mail.com.
yah, SFV wasn't so bad, but one of the other community emails got on the spam, spam, spam, spam, eggs and spam lists, and along with a couple of emails from high school kids doing term papers on ancient Rome I was forever getting 'improve you sex drive by getting a sattellite dish offer' and hey, I am not going to miss the site email so much!

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony! Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you! Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
Hi Erythrina,if you are intrested in Muddy Waters recordings let me know my e-mail.I have just about every recording on CD,from the Plantation Recordings 41-42 library of Congress,to ALL of his recordings from the Chess Years, and recordings with the Rolling Stones.
I also have a CD Writer....... http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/s/asian/imu2.gif
ery--
does that mean getting cable will lower your sex drive?
Don't want to appear stupid, but that's the only way to learn, I guess. How do you put the little faces on your post?
Absom:
When you click on "Reply to Post", on the left hand side of the posting screen is a link that says "Smilies Legend".
Click on that and it will show you several different "faces" and how to make them.
Nevermind...here's the URL for it. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks, Cosmic. BTW, where the heck is everybody now that the Vine has once more drooped? Can't seem to locate a soul at the alternate OOOF site, either. I'm beginning to think my 'puter needs a deodorant. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif
Happybunny.... WOW!!! Whadda collection!!!! I'm so impressed.
Iz: it's twue, it's twue!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

Ok.
It's just too hard using TheOne as a nick here...even if it means having my status counter start all over. It's funny, in a way, how people in r/l whom I've met first on the internet, (who know me as Wizzard) will interchange Wizz with my real name in conversation.

Now, just in case someone confuses my nick with a coloquilisim for a nature break, that "word" is spelled "whiz"...just wanted everyone to be clear about that.

LOL "Wizz" !
Dont blame you. I was being called "Nommy" for a lot of the Boston Gathering. LOL
Just cause you pronounce it with a Boston accent that no one else could properly reproduce. (grins)
You're all lucky you don't have my RL first and last names. Absom would be a relief for everyone.
Gee, Absom! Now we are all curious! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif
Let's just say that I have to tell everyone, everytime, that my last name rhymes with squirrel. That gets a laugh, but they pronounce it correctly from then on.
RL names - my last name is often pronounced "crumb" (which is incorrect, but hey...). Because of this I have been asked if I considered naming my children things like "Bread, Cookie, or Stale". Can you imagine registration for college using the name Stale?????

Jandy, I think stale would be better than mouldy.
Absom,
That's the first time anyone threw out mouldy (shudder) - yeah, I guess Stale is better than that (barely).

Jandy,
I thought everybody threw out Moldy bread???

Apropos of nothing whatever, I must wonder why there is never anyone on Zocolo when I am here. I have checked my 'puter for halitosis, but that doesn't seem to be the answer. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/confused.gif
Ambsom, it's not you, honest. I have the same feeling often when I drift by! hears echoes following her down drafty halls

I haven't seen any message board I frequent that has alot of activity. I rather gram on icq or sfv anyway!
About the lastname subject.. I have an awful Maiden name and was sooooooo happy to have had it changed to Brown when I got married http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

"Kinky is using a feather ? Perverted is using the whole chicken"
heheheh try out Barth for a name. That was my Great Grandmothers first name.
Perhaps we should send out wake up alerts to our fellow posters. Some of the other new boards are fading away. We don't want to lose everybody at once, do we?
Hmmm, strange names. I have a friend whose name is Candy. Her maiden name was Hart.
Candy Hart....
She was quite happy to change her name when she got married, and I don't blame her!

Well if we are talking about odd names...
Here are the first names of some of my aunts and uncles: Ovila (uncle), Gervaise (aunt), Quieta (aunt), Donat (uncle).
And my grandfather's name was Gaudiose! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif
Ummm...Do you think I will make Senior Hostboard Member status by summer?? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
ACK!!! :O It's a conspiracy!!! Someone doesn't want me to become a senior member! My last two posts have shown the same number of total posts. I am NOT getting credit for my work! Is there no justice in the world??
I once knew a woman named Shirley who married a man whose last name was Shirley. We were kind of disappointed when they divorced. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/cool.gif
Rowyn, I think your number stays the same all day long. Or at least if you are posting at the same topic while you are on .
