Continuing from CFCS II.
I have a feeling you'll be waiting an awfully long time there Merle.

Nah, we have one of those running around, but good luck trying to sacrifice her. Unless it is a bunt, she will have you for breakfast! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

And where do plan on finding one of those in this neighborhood Merle. Especially with that Entilzah guy running around.

Hmmmm...we gonna let him get away with that Cosmic?

Does KFC sell fried Owl??

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony! Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you! Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
And AsIs, you read my mind!!
No, I don't sell fried owl (KFC are my intials) http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/tongue.gif

How about baked? Or broiled?
Merle, I don't think that we should sacrifice an endangered group of people. Virgins should be honored, not sacrificed.

I think not....
Let me finish reading this book first and I'll get back to you, Tan.
*Picks up 101 Uses For a Dead Owl and continues to read*
Just incase people get weird ideas, PC pulls out George and begins practicing defensive bashing manuevers...
Nommy seems to have disappeared into the scenery...anyone else out there?
...and what lovely scenery it is too. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
AsIs,
Sorry we missed each other. You're right, the ferry at night is cool. We also found out my daughter gets seasick. She did see the statue, but little else. She had to keep her head down to keep her stomach from flipping too much!
We tried to find the Main Public Library with the lions at it, but mixed up our directions and ended up at Lincoln Center (where the Library for the Performing Arts is), so I didn't get in to it this trip. If daughter is accepted out there for college (how did she grow up so fast, anyway?) then will get back to check it out.
The worst part of our trip? Driving in Chinatown at 6 PM Thursday evening. No, it wasn't planned. I took a wrong turn in Brooklyn trying to get to Queens. We crossed the Manhattan Bridge back to Manhattan, and ended up in Chinatown while trying to turn around. I hope that never happens again! The best part? Hmmmmm, good question - the Empire State building at night? or Times Square at night? the small neighborhood coffee shop where we stopped at breakfast time? As my sister said as we were walking down towards Rockefeller Center after a stop at Au Bon Pain, "A pastry in one hand, coffee in the other, and the city all around you...life is good!"

Glad you had a good trip and sorry we missed each other Jandy! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
If you end up coming back, we can plan it a bit better. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
Glad you got to do the ferry and too bad your daughter gets seasick, it is very pretty.
Nomad just looks around and blends with the backround...waiting for the inevitable.
Hi CT. Grammed you at the other place.
Cosmic, I'm on at the other place. Grammed you there....

I do believe you've laid a curse on North America!
A curse that we here now rehearse in Philadelphia!
A second flood, a simple famine, plagues of locusts everywhere,
Or a cataclismic earthquake I'd accept with some dispair.
But, no, you sent us Congress!
Good God, Sir, was that fair?
Looks like maybe SFV is crashing again.
Nope, it seems to still be standing, Merle.
As of this moment, anyway...
Merle:
"1776" is my sister-in-law's favorite. When we toured New England last autumn we must have played the CD 5 times minimum. That's a wonderful line from it. And especially appropriate right now. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif

i suspect merle hums this tune to himself a lot:
"To the right, ever to the right, never to the left, forever to the right/
Let our creed, be never to exceed, regulated speed, no matter what the need/
We sing Hosanna! Hosanna!
In a plain and simple manner
We keep cool."
Anyone here?
