ok, alex.... i'll play along.

first of all, my response to your DC post, although
in bold, font 30... was bs. its called 'having fun'

any dingus could determine that based upon
the [img]tongue.gif[/img] smiley at the bottom of the post. but
even so, i do not always post a smiley...
basically because i would assume that through
all this posting, you would 'know' me and my
posting 'talk' by now.

its funny to me that almost EVERYONE sees my
posts as some sort of derrogatory, antagonistic
post... but they aren't. i think that the main
reason for this confusion is because i may not
necessarily 'post speak' like everyone else.

my posts have the ability to be quite lengthy.
upon occasion i have been chided about this.
since then, i have attempted to be precise in
the things that i say, or the words that i choose,
in order to be somewhat brief in my posts.

GP was ok because i moderated it and because i
think that most people expect posts to be rather
long and detailed. my real-life thinking is the
same way... and it is highly difficult for me to
NOT be like this... even in posting. but i do try.

this somehow gets me the adjective(s) of being
pretentious, stuck up, arrogant, and an overall
b i t c h. i hate that this is so, but i never
really devote much time to rectifying it. i am
how i am. it does bother me that most people
read a post (mine or otherwise) and never consider
other interpretations/motives for the post.
usually people read a post and respond instantly
without giving further thought to it.
this is one of my biggest problems with people
in general. they are highly advanced animals that
have the ability to reason, and yet, they don't.

reason affects all aspects of life... yes, even posting.
the difference is, the level of reason a person
dedicates to a particular aspect. for me, reason
helps me be precise. this clashes with the norm
because most people don't. when i am precise,
and others arent', confusions arise and i am
busy spending the rest of my posting time in
deep explination to my previous post.
because i genuinely care about such things,
i spend so much time explaining.
what makes me upset is that i do this, while the
average joe doesn't. the amount of input is
skewed.
instead of the other person taking the time to
think prior to posting, to taking the time to
put a little investigation behind what they
want to know... they make stupid posts that i,
ultimately, have to explain/educate.
this is a frustrating process.

for example (and a limited one too):

person A posts:

so whats the weather like in X? (to another poster
that they know lives in X)

to me, this post is uneducated and subliminally
uncaring because the poster could have easily
searched for that info, saw that it was currently
raining (for example) and posted:

so i see its raining right now in X. what are
you planning to do today?

or something like that...

to me, it takes little time to devote to understanding
another person and to show understanding to
that person.
sure, in the first example, the respondant would
say:

its raining.

which would naturally follow that the next post
would be the second example. (which is why it was
a bad example to begin with)

this is why i am more loose on the acropolis.
most of the posters there understand my posts
and don't generally take my posts as serious
as an outside forum would. that does not mean
that some of my posts don't create negativity
or arguments... but generally, it doesn't happen.

most of my posts on this forum, PMP, the admin.,
and GP (as well as a slew of other forums i post on)
are basically designed to create/generate further
conversation of a deeper nature. perhaps this
is my fault, i admit that. the SF quote war is
an example. it wasn't written out of some jealousy
or to poke fun at you... no matter how negatively
you interpreted it. (same as on the admin. forum)

my post on PMP was designed to recall other
good SF statements (which she makes quite a few)
and relive those moments.
when i posted her 'all is arbitrary' comment...
it was to go ahead and issue the absolute...
then taper off from there. i'm sure you will not
argue that 'all is arbitrary' can be outdone.
it simply can't.
but i posted it in the attempt to make the thread
evolve in some sort of commemorative bout to SF.
nothing more.

in conclusion...
i am fully aware that the bulk of people/posters
do not like my posts, and typically believe
that i am a posting a s s h o l e.
so be it.
it is not my motive.

and btw...
if 'shatzy' really was a class group posting
as a singular, 'shatzy' wouldn't have repetative
IP addys.... even at the university.

i assure you, i am all there is.

Sure they would have repetitive IP's, you have the shatzmobile compu ter, and all shatzy dialogues eminate from that one computer.

as for the former...don't assume that the bulk think one way or another, I'm sure there are a lot of forums that have been enfused with activity because of your participation.

But you played a hand, a negative hand, when I was a regular on another forum last year. It's just a big joke to you.

You "lurked" over my shoulder while I battled rampant stupidity on another forum a year and a half ago. You lurked, were bemused, and thought nothing of it.

I find that incredibly raw.
