"So sad to pass on the tragic news that Danny Frye died yesterday , Sunday 13th July after complications with Diabetes. Danny worked in the past with many major artists both live and session work. He'd recently had been working with Glen Matlock and Sylvain Sylvain. Danny Frye and the Devildolls toured the UK with B Movie Heroes in 2001 and recorded the album Hellbent and Raised on Pin Up CDs. Danny was working on a farewell album .
He was a really fine guy to work with and its a tragic loss at such a young age. I'm sure everyone in our music community will think of Danny today and offer sympathy to his family and close friends.
Danny :: your spirit and music lives on.

sad news, but whoe is he???
Never heard of him.
-
he used to be the guitarist for Sylvain Sylvain and then fronted his own band called The Devildolls. If you like bands like The Black Halos, The Yo-Yo's, B Movie Heros, American Heartbreak and the likes you would like the Devildolls.

here is what the main page has;
"Danny Frye passed away over the weekend due to complications from his diabetes. He will be never forgotten. If you'd like to send condolences to the family please forward them to Lucky 13 Records 1809 Grantwood Drive, Cleveland, Ohio 44134 USA."

"Monday July 14th 2003
It is with deep sadness that we have to report the passing of Danny Frye. He died Saturday July 12th from diabetic complications. Danny was a fantastic guitarist with outstanding vocal skill, his debut album 'Hellbent' has already been hailed as one the great RnR records and it is some comfort that the magic of the man will live on in his music.
For those of us at FiveMilesHigh lucky enough to have been involved in his only UK tour in December 2001 he will be fondly remembered for his wicked sense of humour, gentle kindhearted nature and for being one of the most genuine people we had the pleasure of working with.
He will be very sorely missed. Here's to you Danny, and thank you.
James Tomlinson, FiveMilesHigh"
