Btw, any news from him in the last 2 weeks? I was on vacation, so I don't know if he posted a little bit or he's still moving on with his new gf.

Andy... I've been listening all morning (I actually came into the office late so I could listen more. [img]biggrin.gif[/img] )

Peter has an instrumental album coming out this coming tuesday.... what they've played so far has been awesome. I think I'm going to like this album better than Jeff Beck's "Guitar Shop".

One that really blew me away was a cover of "Black Hole Sun" from Soundgarden.... all instrumental with Peter using the talk box on the opening and closing parts of the song. Fuckin' awesome.

Since my wife has gotten me listening to so much 70's music lately, I've really been drawn to Frampton. Combines all the rock I love with the melodies and harmonies that are rooted in 70's and Motown music. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I was Frampton a while back on some PBS concert special. That guy has to be one of the most underrated guitarists next to Joe Walsh. I'm surprised that he never got more kudos for his playing.

I'm working on putting together a trio that can do small bars and coffee shops (hand drums and acoustics mixed in with blues-y electric guitar and vocals) and will defintely work at putting a Frampton song or two into the mix. I want to be able to get into bars that big bands with big stage productions would be too big/loud/expensive/etc for... as well as have smaller overhead (ie: no soundman or roadies needed).
