Oh, I really don't care what anybody does. Bill said he would give me a job, but a French Maid outfit was in the mix, so I think I turned him down.
Oh, and I only make these comments about Bill because a long time in a thread he said he was rich. So now I just decide that Bill is indeed a millionaire.

I decided that Bill is a millionaire too and I've been begging him for years to adopt me... but he won't. Loser! lol!
Are there any special papers that need to be filled out for adopting Munchkins???
Yes, Munchkin Adoption Papers.
Oh...I always wondered what a Map was for.
<font size="4" face="Arial">it's that attitude right there for the reason why i haven't adopted you yet. well that and i'm sure i would accidentally step on you one day and probably make a mess which then i would have to clean up. just looking at the big picture here is all.Quote:

and carl, i'm a network engineer/systems administrator for a company that owns a blimp with snoopy plastered all over it. its a pretty cool job, kind of interesting in it's own right.
the funny thing is, i went to school for meteorology. yep, i'm a meteorologist =)
how glam is that?!
So it's your fault when it snows. Damn weatherman!
I would be nice to you if you adopted me silly!
Do you work for MetLife???
You're a meteorologist!?! That is actually pretty cool.
<font size="4" face="Arial">if u'd give your weather previsions on a tv network wearing pink spandex it would be glam to the highest degree ;-DQuote:

Aside from the fact that I'm ALWAYS nice to you... I'm ALWAYS nice to you. So you'll adopt me now right?
no, my first time through college i got a degree in meteorology but i never worked a day in the meteorology field. i am a network engineer/systems administrator at Metlife, nothing to do with the weather. (though Sun Systems claims that naturally occurring ionizing radiation left behind in the path of neutrinos radiated from the sun can cause their servers to crash. no lie, that's their white paper explanation. it's really just a bad processor design)
even though there is no 'dress code' here i'm not sure i could pull off the pink spandex look anymore. though people might stop bothering me all day, maybe i'll try it.
You almost sounded like D there for a second.

for the record i must admit that yes, sin IS always nice to me.
that should ruin your reputation
and how did i sound lke D?
I'm a ROCKSTAR!!!!!

I'm a computer graphic designer/photographer.
I'M A SCISSOR'S ENEMY WHO CO-MANAGE OUR COUNTRY'S AIRLINE DATA/SYSTEM/COMUNICATION'S CENTER!!! YEAH (ALSO LOOKIN LIKE I LOOK!!!) BTW I COULD BE THE 5TH KISS MEMBER FOR THE DRESSED TO KILL COVER WHEN I USE MY "MASQUERADE" FOR WORKING!!! I'M NOT AS HAPPY AS I ALWAYS WANTED AND I WOULD CHANGE ROUTERS/SWITCHS/SERVERS AND ALL KINDA COMPUTER DEVICES FOR GUITARS/AMPLIFIERS/PUBLIC AND SOUND TECHNICIANS!!! (CUZ I'LL BE A FRUSTRATED MUSICIAN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE)
I'm a certified nursing assistant and untl very recently, worked in a nursing home. I have just taken on a private case. I take care of a 38 year old woman who is quadrupalegic and quite possibly the bravest person I've ever met, she's also becomming a good friend. my job is hardwork, and not the highest paying, but I get rewards that go beyond a paycheck I'm considering going back to school again to get my L.P.N. liscence but for now, this is where I'm at.
Store Manager

I'm a humble media technologist/aspiring
documentarian, but currently specialising
in producing/editing/post-producing/Final Cut
Pro-ing, blabla, music-centric DVDs. I
don't actually graduate my media tech degree
until next year - but then again, I only enrolled
in the first place just so I could use equipment I
couldn't afford by myself - those sweaty
lecturers can't teach me anything, of course.
Post-graduation I'm staying in my current city
for a year, making money doing exciting things
things in media production studios, after that
am off to a different campus to read a PhD in Media
and Humanities: and then it'll be Dr. D. to you.
Actually, the more I think about the prospect
of spending another three years scribbling about
the ontological aspects of documentary as opposed
to travelling around the place, in the sunshine,
making them, the more preposterous is sounds.

ohhh noooo,he's creating a monster,lmao!!!
good for you D,way to go.
Dr. D. I smell a new rap artist in the making(EWWW,no)
Currently, uninspired writer. Would like to get back into some sort of arts, whether theatre or music, possibly both. I'm sort of a one track person, so I'd devote my time to anything I do. That is also why my personal and professional life always seem to be congruent.
I'm also thinking about CLEP, college credit for your life experiences. I would go nuts in a classroom, as I would probably piss off the prof with questions, rather than being a good little drone like they want.
Doctor D., what a horrifying thought !!
My bon mot, well, running gag, goes something like
this:
I - Yeh, I can see it now.. I'll be on a ship some-
where; somebody will collapse, they'll call for
a doctor, I'll burst through (flashing my Press
card - LOL!) shouting 'I'm a doctor', and..
- Oh good. Doctor of what?
- Eh, media.
- What does that mean?
- I don't know.
D.
Sounds to me as though you need to go on a European tour making documentaries. Maybe a Cannes-worthy production will emerge.
I'm sure you'll take very nice pictures on that boat
The Rich Rags one - the one I've been up until
bloody 5 this morning, fiddling about with - has
got festival potential. Probably not Sundance
or Cannes or anything fancy like that, but maybe
The London Times one. But LT are quite strange.
They're not unlike the Turner Prize judges,
i.e. completely unpredicatable.
In my favour, Barry Hampe, who's written one (of
the many) 'bibles' on documentary making, has
agreed to be the primary secondary source for my
dissertation, which was kind of him.

I'm a screenwriter, currently working on screenplay #7, hoping to get one sold one day. lol We'll see. It's always the next request to read your work, based upon the treatment, that breaks you in this industry. Got one out in Newport Beach (co-written with our prodigal Hawkey) currently. We'll see how that goes. Have about three or four ideas for new scripts after my current work is done (some are starting to gel, some merely in their infancy). Outside of that, still looking for gainful employment here. Working pizzas to pay the bills (keep your comments to yourselves) until my happy days come. Hey, I hate waiting, but I'm patient.
I work as a Reservations Sales Co-ordinator for a group of 5* hotels. The pay is not that great, but i get to do lot sof bookings for famous people, like Ozzy Osbourne,Val Kilmer, Jane Fonda etc. Don't ask me any info on where they r staying and when,am not allowed to tell!!
When you say you're 'working' pizzas, Cotton, do
you mean like ... pimping?
D.
I worked in a pizza joint for 2 years, nothing wrong with that. The eats are great.
I work in an artificial limb factory, in the stores. I do all the despatching to customers all over the world.
The best thing about this job is, I get to tell people I'm an International Arms Dealer.
Kinda like "actress" used to be a polite way of saying prostitute.
<font size="4" face="Arial">two questions ...Quote:

1. do you sell to the general public?
2. do you need to have a specific medical reason to order from your company or can anyone?
I'm really scared to think where you're going with that.
BTW, I've drawn up the adoption papers - they're all ready for you to sign.

1) Not usually directly. The patients generally come to us through hospital prosthetic clinics. Most of the stuff I send out goes to the companies that run the clinics; everything's put out to tender these days, there are four main companies in this country that provide these services: RSL Steeper (that's the one I work for), Otto Bock, Blatchfords and Orthopaedic Services.
2) I suppose you could order off-the-shelf bits without a medical reason, but it's not standard practice. Like I say, it usually tends to be trade sales only. Also, be warned most of this stuff isn't cheap.
I'm a Senior Support Worker working with adults with learning disabilities in a supported living environment.
I am a a Storeman at the University Of Warwick. Not a bad wage but a very easy job with access to the net all day long.
Supplying goods to the trades on Campus, ie. Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters etc...
Been a Storeman most of my working life. Wanted to be a Rockstar when at school but got little if no incouragement from the family.
But my job has got me all I want in life now. A great wife and kids, a home, food and beer, all the cd's I want, holidays to Thailand. Always seem to get by.
