OK, I know it's entertainment for a Sunday evening and the odd week day but seriously, this forum is now offically crap and is the reason behind much of the back-stabbing that goes on.
I'm one of those to blame and I hope you can all realise that it's this that has caused a lot of hassle. Maybe if it was closed down, it would make people actually confront others with problems and would keep things out in the open.
It would also make me go to bed earlier and would help me get more work done.
Your thoughts please...and don't be selfish.
Oh, and those of you who rely on this board for info on gigs...either get yourself out more, or check Pete's GY Scene site...which would work better if people used it as a resource.
And gigs should be advertised by handing out fliers again...and sticking them up around town...which is ilegal so this makes it cool like smoking dope and killing Jews.

why should this board be closed now? it's been churning out the same old shit topics about how gy person 1 loves gy person 2 because they're dead sexy and have long hair for nigh on 2 years now but it's still morbidly fascinating.

i use this board as a way of keeping in touch with home while i'm at uni & its alot cheaper (and often more amusing & honest!) than paying 2 fone anyone or actually make the effort 2 drive back 2 good ol' stinky gy.
keep the board, its a good distraction from doing essays and kills some spare time between lectures b4 the pubs officially open 4 business!

I think Pete's site should be utilised more frequently, and important stuff put on there, i.e gig info, band info, up coming GY events, etc..
I also think that this board should be kept, it's not like you have to read it. Show some fucking restraint.
I like this board, although i seldom post, i am a frequent reader, as much as i hate to admit it, it's pretty colours distract me from everything, ever.

Well I'd like to say that I wanted to keep this board cos it had good qualities but I wanted to get rid of all the backstabbing rubbish that goes on here but as soon as I try to clear it up all you pussies go and complain to the admin instead of saying anything to my face and get me removed....Too many people on here daren't say things to peoples faces and say it on here instead and it's shit. If you say it to their face as well fair enough but when I try and clean it up I get shit...Go fuck yourselves! I seem to remember topics about people taking things too seriously before. Never seemed to go anywhere.
Ah well..I'll give it a week or so. Then I'm going to close my account.
I guess most people are past caring, but I'd actually like to see people who are into the alternative MUSIC scene be actually bothered about music.
No-one seems to take an interest.
I'd like to see people realise (as I have often over-looked) that gigs are more important than rock discos and also that, with a little co-operation and effort, we can actually turn a bunch of squabbling dickhead in baggy jeans (us) into an actual *sighs and cringes* scene *shudders at the word*.
Cuz at the moment, me, you lot and "it" are a fucking joke.
There are gigs coming up, there are rock nights still...support them and they will become more frequent and better quality.

I agree totally with Joe, close the board as it obviously affects peoples lives deeper than it should, censorship on tv and radio proved popular, although 20 yrs later most of the, then offensive stuff, is now de-censored. We will all be ready and able to handle the board in say 20 yrs time when we have become accustomed to what it can do in regard to influencing our lives.

lloyds- pound a pint on tuesdays, doubles for singles most of the week. i reckon some gy bands should get in touch with the pubs and sort out some pub gigs, cos the "live music thursdays" at lloyds is mainly full of old rockers, except zoddy boots who are mint.
it would be nice if there were a few more small scale local gigs in pubs. old school come back (well as old school as i get, which is about a year ago where everyone was out on student night)
