Lost Traveling AGT17

I have an AGT17 whom I can send to Dolldreamer, in hopes she will like her. If anyone would like to contribute towards the purchase of a Marisol outfit or if you have an extra AGT outfit to add to the box, please PM me. I also need the name and mailing address for Dolldreamer, since I wasn't one of the hosts for her doll. Thanks!

I'm going to check her traveling album and see if I have any replacements I can donate.

Could you post a link to it here? That would help a lot. Thanks!

Here's a link to her traveling album:
Dolldreamer's lost dollie

I just went through her album and I don't have any of those outfits that she took with her . If you don't get them from elsewhere I'd be happy to donate one of the outfits I have for sale (First day, coconuts BF jacket, khaki's, sandals, or I have Molly's aviator jacket and pants too).

I don't know how to post a link (or a signature pic for that matter) but someone just bumped up dolldreamers thread asking for help finding her doll and there is a link in there.

Kristin

I could donate some money to help fund to buy another Marisol outfit or one of her other outfits.

I'm curious..was the lost dolly ever traced through UPS? I don't have any of those outfits either, but would gladly contribute to the cause.

Yes, I also think it would make a lot of sense to try a trace through UPS. On the other hand, UPS managed to lose Marisol's spotlight platform between AGPNY and Windsor CT and personally, I detest brown trucks. Huge hassle for customers. Anyway...

I have the magenta outfit she started with. Aside from Marisol's meet outfit, everything else is still available on the AG website. I took the liberty of pming Dolldreamer to see if a different doll would be acceptable. If she says she this would make her happy, then I think a collection for Marisol's meet outfit would be good and then maybe we just say, OK, she changed suitcases along the way!?? Better lost luggage than a lost doll! That way members could contribute an outfit without trying to match what she started with, which was all bought new for her trip anyway. If Dolldreamer kept her receipts, she should be able, at the minimum, to get UPS to refund her the cost of those clothes, don't you think?

So does anyone know Dolldreamer's name and mailing address?

I just remembered that she has moved since she sent her traveling doll out. I think she also mentioned that her internet access is limited. I'm going to try emailing her.

I PMed her, too. I asked for her to send her address, so let's hope she gets the PM.

In her box, Nadia had the 1995 meet outfit, Marisol's meet outfit, the Licorice Best Friend outfit, the Bell Flower PJs, and the 3-in-1 beach set.

I'm not sure this is the best option because I'd hate to lose my traveling doll, but like others said, it may help. And if we find Nadia, she'll have twins. One for her, one for her daughter.

Yes, as someone else posted today, there's no problem in having twins!

<font size="10">Let's charge UPS with Dolly Kidnapping!</font> Hehe whoops there was a bit of an outburst. I hope Nadia is found! Sorry, can't help with replacements!

I believe I have the licorice's best friend jacket, dress and shoes hiding in my gift closet. They are not new but I'm certainly willing to donate them to this cause. Whomever is heading this up, please feel free to PM me if this all works out! -
Meg B.

I have Marisol's meet outfit for sale, but unfortunately I would need money for it. I wouldn't have put it for sale otherwise. I really hope dolldreamer eventually finds her doll, I would be devestated if that happened to me.

I have her e-mail address and can e-mail her if no one else has done so.

Her girl had a fairy finger puppet doll and a journal. I've seen both around, I just have to remember where. I can easily get her souveniers from RI again but I deleted her journal file I will make copies of the pictures I have and it will be almost like having her girl home again.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, I plan on printing off the mini powerpoint books I made for Nadia.

Robin, please get in touch with Dolldreamer, since we cannot proceed with any of our plans if we have nowhere to mail her doll to.

Reconstructing her travel experiences is a great idea. Thanks for everyone's help on this.

If anyone has a picture/description of the fairy finger puppet please let me know. I have three different ones that my mom gave me and if one is a match I'd be happy to donate it to the cause.

I don't have any of the outfits, but let me know how else I can help.

Thanks for doing this Cherry. I would not want to explain to DD's that their doll got lost.

I am glad for all of your generosity and compassion. At the same time, it seems to me that UPS shouldn't be let off the hook. If they lost these things, they should be held accountable and made to replace all of it.

Does anyone know if any attempt has been made yet to pressure UPS to either find the package or pay for their mistake and replace? If so, what's happened with that so far?

Joy

I thought every package shipped with UPS were shipped with $100.00 insurance.

There's a picture of the fairy doll puppet in my album. I wanted to look today but it's Back to School at the Brown University bookstore and the place was packed. I got all the pictures printed up again and a brag book for them. I'll e-mail Tasha tonight. She doesn't have a home PC so it may be some time before I hear from her.

I received a PM from Dolldreamer earlier today. She said that she appreciates what we're trying to do, but she knew the risks when she sent her doll out travelling and she will take the responsibility for replacing her. She sounds very busy.

That being said, I think it would be nice if hosts could print or otherwise recreate some of the adventures of the lost doll. I'm going to PM Dolldreamer to see if I can at least change her mind about accepting the doll -- and small things that would make her return more meaningful.

I got the picture copied again, at least the ones that weren't on the disposable camera. I can also print off all the information on the places Alethea saw in RI.

oh my goodness, my heart is flooded. I have been sitting here crying not knowing how my all the love and kindness I am getting from here is healing me. Thank you all so much, I am so touched. I know when I sent her out that I was taking a risk and there is a huge part of me that feels guilt at accepting these offerings, please, no one send or help if they can't, I understand how hard it is to loose something.
I am working two jobs right now but for this week have mornings off, so I am able to be on-line for a tid bit.
Thankl you
thank you. I am in awe of the amount of love I am getting from people who don't know me in my life, it is making my daily reality much sweeter.
Anything that you all do will be beautifull for me, because it is being done in such swqeet kindness that when I hold the doll I feel all the love and generosity thatyou are all sending with her.
Thank you

It sounds like maybe there's a new home waiting for my AGT17, doesn't it?

So here's the plan. If you would like to send pictures or an outfit with this doll, please PM me for my mailing address. I would like to mail the doll out on Sept. 15th so please act quickly?

Thanks so much!

Just so you know why I'm hoping for a nice response to this idea: This is my way of thanking the Hostboard for the wonderful Christmas that you gave me this past December. Sharing the good AG times, passing along the favors --

Bumping as promised!

I wasn't around for all of this, so excuse my confusion. But, was UPS ever contacted and a trace put on the package? I agree with Joy that they should not be left off the hook about this.

That said, Cherry...email me.

I would like to mail this doll out one week from today. I've already received one outfit to go with her. Please pm me soon if you want to help with this project so I can send you my mailing address. Thanks to everyone for their interest.

It's the one in the Traveling Doll in Rhode Island, picture 3, right? If so, would you believe it--I DO have that fairy puppet! Her wings are a little mussed from being under a bunch of stuffed animals in a box, but I think I can fix them. She has the tag and everything! Cherry, I should have your address ( ), and I will get it in the mail by Monday night at the latest.

Dolldreamer, don't feel a tiny bit of guilt for my tiny contribution, anyway...this poor puppet was stuffed in a box for the last 6 months or so, and on my dresser under more junk for a few years prior to that. I know she'll be happy to go to a new house!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's great! I know new girl will love her doll as much as old girl did.

Couldn't have ID'd the fairy without your album, QnPoohBear. Well done.

I definitely want to contribute. Unfortunately I don't have any of the missing items so I'll send you some money and a outfit I made. I would be so sad if one of my dolls got lost. Thanks Cherry for heading this up.

Bump for anyone who wants to help dolldreamer!
