So, me and the gf (now where is she? probably lost within the boxes somewhere in the bedroom) are moving this weekend into a bigger and hopefully MUCH nicer apartment complex. The hell I've gone through living at my current place, let me tell you, I'll be VERY happy to be somewhere else.
The new place is bigger, has this pond with tons of ducks in the middle of it (the complex, not the apartment), and should be peaceful (that's the key word). We're excited and looking forward to it. Normal air conditioning system, management that responds to your request to fix things, an access gate that works, waterpipes that don't break-nearly ruining your comic book collection, etc, etc. I'll be packing up the computer soon, so, I imagine I'll be gone from Hostboard starting Thursday or Friday and won't be back until sometime late next week.
Oh, and we got movers because I am sick of killing my back trying to get all our furniture moved around. It'll be worth the money.
*disappears back into the mountain of boxes*

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. We're almost done packing, errrr, gf is almost done packing (she's done most of it. i just get to go through stuff and defend my reason for keeping it... [img]wink.gif[/img] ). I am a pack rat.
We also just realized that we'll have to move my comic book collection by ourselves. Otherwise, our box count goes up by half. Don't want to spend the extra money.
And, no hurting the ducks!

Sounds like you're moving to a nicer place. Could get a little noisy when duck hunting season comes around. You might want to stay away from the windows that time of year. ;)

Now THAT'S what I like to hear...a comic book collection that causes a moving box count to DOUBLE if you add the boxes in with the regular stuff...THAT'S collecting ladies and gentlemen...way to go, bran! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well, I haven't moved yet. Moving starts tomorrow. And, I'm staying in Houston, just moving to a different side of town. We'll be a lot closer to gf's mom (like, 20 miles closer) and some friends.
I'm reallllly looking forward to the new place (and not having to find my way through all these boxes).

Yay for moving! My roommate Mandy and I are also taking off to move about three stoplights down to a much nicer, prettier, well-built area. It's got all the cool stuff. And HOPEFULLY we'll all hear from TYLE when she gets to Santa Fe. *sniff* I MISS HER!!!!

*Picks the Wolverine issue and runs to the pond, where two young Houstonian girls are talking. One of them has blonde short hair and a hoarse voice, the other is taller with silky dark hair. The last one is leaning over the pond feeding the ducks*
FRAN: If I fell in, would you come save me?
KAT: Would you really want me to?
*Sarabiga looks over her shoulders to see where Bran is, running inadvertently over Francine and pushing her in the pond*
SARABIGA: Uh oh.....

We are definitely enjoying the new place. So glad to be out of that old complex...
