Okey-dey, I'll pick apart all the names that have more than two nominations, the ones I feel strongly for or against that is:
Nightscrawlers - My favorite, bar none but the Monument. I LOVE plays on words. We "scrawl" our messages and opinions here, we're Nighty fans. PERFECT! 'Nuff said.
Blue Velvet Underground - This one cracks me up EVERY TIME. Like Worm Farm, it shows we don't take ourselves too seriously here, and it fits. We're sorta the Nighty underground, fighting for respect for the elf. It's retro for bonus points. Probably my favorite of the funny choices.
Worm Farm- Cute and clever. Very smartass as well, befitting our attitudes here. On a side note, my dad calls Nighty "Earthworm" just to hack me off.
Nightcrawler Monument (the classics never die)- Amen. Once again,'nuff said.
Fire & Brimstone - No, no, no! Far too close to Tessa's Fur & Brimstone! That goes for all those similar ones as well. Except...
Behind the Brimstone/BAMF - I think this one is different enough to be okay. It has that nice "Behind the Music" vibe to it, therefore it's hip, but derivative. I much prefer Behind the Brimstone as opposed to BAMF as well.
Elfaholics Anonymous - Another oldie but goodie. However, I think this would be better as a reference to the posters and not as a name for the whole board, as it casually is now. Something like "NAME: Home of the Elfaholics."
Fuzzy Logic - Like Worm Farm and Blue Velvet Underground, this one is funny, and since most of us are very analytical and logical I think it fits.
B.A.M.F! - I've always liked this one, but mayhap we should be considering what it's going to mean before we all jump on the BAMFing bandwagon. ;^)
On the whole, I think we should stick with something lighthearted, clever and memorable -- just like our elf. Just stop and think about the name we would like to see in Wizard when they do an article on the rise of Nightcrawler to hot character status.
Think on THAT. It could happen.

on the topic of what B.A.M.F! stands for, i think the great thing about this one is that it could stand for several things! the classic (unrelated to Nighty, but still applicable sometimes) is of course Bad Ass Mother Fucker. replace Bad with Blue and it relates to Nighty somewhat, but as Elwing pointed out it could also stand for Blue And Mighty Fine. oh yeah! [img]wink.gif[/img] and i'm sure if we put our minds to it we could come up with a bunch of others, so the board could be called B.A.M.F! and depending on our mood it could stand for whatever we want [img]smile.gif[/img]

Darkforce Dimension -
Eh. It's very Nightcrawlery, and comic fans will get it right off...but I dunno. It just seems kinda...bland.
Worm Farm -
I was just joking when I suggested this one, but it's quickly become my second favorite choice. It just fits. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
Bamf Cloud 9 -
I like the play on words and it's very obviously Nightcrawler related...and it'd have a great abbreviation (BC9) which kinda gives it a Sci-Fi connotation that could be good or bad.
Nightcrossing -
I think that this would help with the warm, family kinda feel that we have going on around here...and it's a pretty cool play on the sounds. I like it, but not nearly as much as a lot of the others.
Swash & Buckle -
Another great funny one...It's good, but I didn't nominate it. I think it would be better as a website name, for some reason.
Dark Dimension -
Same as Darkforce Dimension...a little bland. Plus it's very very sci-fi sounding, and I don't like it.
Nightcrawler Monument (the classics never die) -
It was the best I could come up with when I made this place and I still like it. Only reason we're going through this is so that all ya'll have a say in the name of the "new" board.
Fire & Brimstone -
I like it! But it may bring a Hellish connotation that we may not like...
Behind the Brimstone/BAMF -
When I read this one I see a very well designed website. Full of Behind the Music type imagery all about Nightcrawler...should this one lose, I expect SOMEONE will create a site called this...I voted for it, but I like the other 9 I nominated better for the name of a Message Board.
Forever Blue -
Can't really think of anything bad to say about it, and it really does have a nice ring to it...but I still don't like it. :-P
Nightscrawlers -
By far my favorite of the bunch. I think it both embodies our family feeling, shows that we don't take ourselves terribly seriously, AND it's very very clearly Nightcrawler related. I think it fits BEST out of all the nominations.
Blue Velvet Underground -
This one is my 3rd favorite. It's funny and retro and very fitting to us, IMO...and I think it kinda implies that we have an organization here...which I like. :-D
BAMFtopia -
I like it...but again, I think it would be better suited for a NC website than a message board...
Wild Blue Yonder -
I think this may imply a bigger connection to Evolution than we want. We're all about NC in ALL of his incarnations.

When I hear "Fuzzy Logic" I think Beast...but that may just be me.

I'm here to fight for Fuzzy Logic and against B.A.M.F. mostly because I came up with FL and I don't want to see it die. Here are my two cents...Fuzzy Logic fits Kurt just fine. He's no dummy...he's fuzzy, how much better could it get? Several people have mentioned that it sounds too much like it would fit Beast. I disagree. I would say Beast would fit more of a Furry Logic.
Here's why I have to go again B.A.M.F. (sorry to the creator of this name, I actually think it's not bad but I'm going to follow through on mine). I can't go telling people to visit the best darn Nightcrawler board Bad Arse Mother Fudger (I'm not bit on the swear words and you shouldn't be either [img]tongue.gif[/img] ). We also haven't thought of anything else that fits quite as well. I guess that's all I can think of at the moment. Vote FUZZY LOGIC!
Ok, here's my negligable oppinion [img]smile.gif[/img]
1. The Nightcrawler Monument- heh, what can i say, i like the classics, and besides its dignified.
2. B.A.M.F!- LOL, the possibilities are endless. GO BLUE & MIGHTY FINE!
3. Swash and Buckle- I know its stupid, but i like it.
4. Nightscrawlers- its funny and DEFINATLY nighty centric.
5. Worm Farm- LOL, that about says it all
I didn't vote for "Worm Farm" because despite his name, he has very little to do with worms. It'd be like a Cyclops site called "One-eyed Giant's Cave" And many newish fans of the character might be a little put off by it.
Even though I've lived in the south most of my life, where you can buy nightcrawlers by the bucket, I've never really asciated the two. Not the way I associate Wolverine with wolverines. In my mind Kurt's name is Night-Crawler.
"Worm Farm" is kinda funny, but if the novelty wears off it won't reall fit.
Blau velvet underground......elvis has not left the building lol ..still a good name but alas i much like
nightcrawlers....we are the nightcrawlers family,friends..what more could a blau fuzzy elf want?...(psst a raise in pay would be nice )

Nightscrawlers Excellent! Very clever! If this doesn't win I'll be dissapointed.
As for B.A.M.F. I did not vote for it because of the lack of proper meanings. Can anyone think of one? Besides Blue-Dudes are more fun? Which technically would be B.D.A.M.F

Oh jeez. Hey, if anyone plans on voting for "Blue Velvet Underground" maybe try listening to some Velvet Underground first. It definitely influenced MY vote... [img]eek.gif[/img]
(If there is any doubt how I feel I will say that I find it uninspiring. I have never encountered such a purely untalented vocalist. Apathy... dragging me down... people like this?!)
