*sobs*
I promised my daughter I'd take her...but there isn't a date she can go! The only one that's close enough to get to and not a school night is the London one...and I can't take her cos I have a ticket to another concert on the next night - just for me! So she can't be in London the Friday cos ther'll be noone to look after her while I go to my concert the next night! So that means we have both got to miss Darren!

Thanks, Janie
*will probably have to go straight to the venues as ticket agencies don't usually cater for people in wheelchairs*

Glad you'll be able to go, Michelle
I never knew you (or someone you'd be going with) used a wheelchair, btw. Hope there isn't a problem with the venue - I know they are supposed to provide access these days, but I dunno if they all do?
-
Sue, it`s such a shame you can`t go
Michelle, I`m excited for you

Thank you hun and yeah me too, in that order! Lol!
*seriously considering the Portsmouth date even if it means keeping the kids up half the night and them falling asleep at school the next day*!!!!!
-
I hope those of you going have a super time! If anyone meets the famous one give him a hug and a pinch on the bum from me please!
Hugs,

I hope you can work it out somehow But, you don`t have much time to think about it, do you?
-
Lol, Ivana that's the frustrating thing. If it were school holidays I would have no problem - this is only an hour from my house. I can't even keep the little one home the next day if she's tired, as I work at the school and have no one to mind her!
But knowing me I will order the tickets and worry about all that afterwards, lol!
-
If you get the tickets, then you`ll have to find a way to go so sharpen your brain Sue

GEEZ. Finally something exciting happens and sure as hell the friggin Sony BBS goes down!
Hey I am in Germany but I might be going to London too! I went to London in 1998 to see Savage Garden's Earthly Delites Show ... can't remember the venue just now... I hope they sent tickets also abroad. Anyone know if they do that??
Chris

I'm gonna try for Bristol too cos my cuz lives near there and I can stay at his house

Chris I don't know if they do that. Maybe you could e-mail them and ask them if you could pick up the tickets from the door on the night or something. I think Maggz is going to post further details re: telephone numbers, cost of tickets, and max. no. of tix per application soon over on the Sony board, so we should know a bit more soon

Hey Janie!! I already called them. They say they do send them abroad, but I don't believe it until I have finalized the order. I've had big problems in the past ordering tickets in the UK from abroad. (It would prolly be as complicated vice versa. Don't mean to offend anyone!) Like with this Savage Garden concert in 1998 -- I ordered and paid thru Ticket Master and it said I could pick up the ticket on the nite of the show. So I went there as soon as the ticket booth opened and they refused to give me the ticket. They said I could only pick it up right before the venue opened. Never mind that the online ticket was MORE expensive than the ticket at the venue. Since there was already a small crowd gathering outside the venue, I figured if I wait that long, I will end up in the back of the hall(no seating!). I was so bummed. So I bought ANOTHER ticket! But it was worth it. Hehe!

I'm sad too, I'm in the US...too poor to get a ticket to the UK shows, plus starting a new job teaching, and I can't exactly abandon my students for Darren...
or can I? he he he...
-
I know how left out you must feel in the US and Canada.
I am sure it's only a matter of time until you get plenty of Darren's attention....name me a high-profile musician who doesn't want to crack the US market!

I'd like to believe that.... but right now I am tired of being optimistic and smiling about it and justifying the fact that there isn't even a new single here... I just really feel like feeling sorry for myself.

Laurie
I feel for you. I still think it will happen here we just aren't as quick as Europe we have got to have faith. We know how good he is and I am sure people in North America will soon catch on.
Hugs Lain

I know exactly how you guys feel. If you even ask anybody where I live (Kentucky) about Darren Hayes they're like 'Darren who?'. It makes me kind of upset.
Lisha =)
-
You know what? The same applies to almost everyone I know here in the UK too! And he's doing quite well here. It's a slow process....it took me about 2 years from first hearing SG (and loving the music) to actually figuring out the name of the band, LMAO! It will come...we just have to be patient....and I really hope it will happen across the Atlantic too, cos I know there are lots of fans there...just need to convince the radio stations and record label etc. Still, look at the reaction he got at the Lizard Fair....hopefully a sign of what is to come once he turns the Hayes charm upon North America full-time!!!
Ack - off to bed I go - it's almost 4am...goodnight All.
-
Night Sue!
yikes 4 am
see you tomorrow

BOO!
OK I got 3 hours sleep...now to crash for another couple before work then the drive up to London! Just can't keep me away....
*tries to remember the reason she went online in the first place*

Aww I am so sorry for all of you not in the UK
But I will be buying my ticket tomorrow
