So some greaser kidnapped a little girl a few towns away and it's all over the news- they have video showing the "abduction". The story has gone national so it might be on the news by you. I feel really bad for the little girl (11 yrs old) and her family, and I'm praying that he was her boyfriend and just a craddle robber- not a kiddie killer. This may sound shallow- but it's really going to make life hard around here for kids with tattoos if she turns up harmed. Obviously my first hopes are that she turns out ok- but right now in FL rednecks are looking to lynch kids with full sleave tattoos and work shirts. Some redneck saw a kid with tattoos walking down the street and started shouting at him, the kid ran away (naturally) and the cops broke out the dogs trying to find him. I feel a witchhunt a brewin....

He looks more like a redneck than a greaser to me...the patch on his workshirt probably says Bubba. And he's like 40yrs old. I dont think kids with tattoos should be too worried.

And only a dumb redneck would abduct a kid in front of a camera wearing his shirt from work with his name on it. Way to go Joe.

I hope that's the right guy- from the video the "mystery man" could be any one of my friends. What sucks though is that if that is the guy- and from what I can tell from the mugshot the hair is the same, and the girl is not with him, then she's probably dead. That sucks. I'm going to make another post in a second and I want all you guys to read it because it's important.

I feel kind of like an idiot. I shouldn't make judgements on the guy until he is proven guilty. Something we must remember is that they are innocent until proven guilty. The news channels often like to blur that fact.

Do you know if there had been a robbery nearby? If there had been a robbery, anyone that happened to be walking down the street would be considered suspicious and be stopped, tattoos or not.

In the "abduction" video- which was all they had to go on from Sunday till this afternoon- all you can make out is a guy with dark hair a workshirt and full sleaves. That describes half the kids at Social D shows, and sometimes Mike Ness when he chooses to break out some gas station blues.

If Mike Ness walked down the street in Sarasota Monday afternoon he could have been the poor guy they sent the dogs out on.
Yeah- interesting note- the guy who was chased by the angry mob and had the K-9 unit sent after isn't the guy they picked up this afternoon.

A friend of mine had the dogs sent after him when he didn't cooperate with some cops who accused him of being a burglar. He was walking home at night when they stopped him for looking "suspicious"- they got in his face so he told them to fuck off and left "the scene". They sent out the dogs- when they picked him up he had a large amount of cash on him. Even though he explained to him that he was a tattoo artist, and he doesn't get a "paycheck", they took him in as a robbery suspect. In a way it's his dumbass fault for telling them to fuck off- that allowed him to rot in a holding cell for 2 days while they ran his prints against every unsolved robbery- but on the flipside there was no reason to hassel him in the first place. They stopped a kid wal;king down the street who they thought "looked" like a fellon due to his tattoos. If he had been black they might have kicked his ass too.

obviously its hard to tell from the picture from the surveillance camera.....but he looks really white in the mug shot picture.....and fairly dark in the surveillance picture. compared to her he's rather dark.

On the news they just found the girls body behind a church. What a shitty situation this is. [img]eek.gif[/img]

I fell asleep on the couch with headline news on and the story actually woke me up. The guy they have in custody confessed and told them where to find her body. He dumped her behind a church off the interstate. They haven't given any info on motive, etc. I'm sure it really sucks for her family. On the local news they keep showing her classmates crying. I always hated that in school when someone died people who didn't even know them cried.

for some reason the guy on the surveilance tape and the guy that confessed dont look like the same person to me...the guy on the tape looks darker and heavier and about 10 yrs younger

That's exactly what I was thinking.......andhis hair is different. Not to say he couldn't have cut it to alter his appearance, but still doesn't appear, at least to me, to be the same person.
They'll check DNA...adn hopefully get down tothe bottom of it.
As it is, even horribly bad people get convicted of the wrong crime merely due to a criminal record history. If this fella in custody did it, DNA will be the deciding factor I'm sure.
Regardless, it is a terribly fucked up situation for her family and her friends. So cold-hearted and calculating.

Newest news- they have retracted that he confessed to police and now claim it was a jailhouse confession. That's kinda fishy. I hate how you can't believe anyone.
