Well it all started one day when I was out of pot...I think it was in Scranton, Pa. It was after the show ... The fans have all left... I thought he was kidding at first and gave him the peace sign and then he threw a bottle of water at me... Bobby is acting like a baby... The next day I am sitting in catering and the neon bitches are talking shit and I said to them "I am going to buy a block of cheese for all you Poison pussys to go along with your wine.....Get over it..." They then tell me that were going to tell Bobby... what a bunch of pussys........ I said "you know what I DONT GIVE A SHIT TELL HIM......" Later that day our tour manager comes to me and says "Alan you have to go and see Bobby..." I walk into his dressing room and I wanted to be the better man and say I was sorry about the cheese coment.... Then Bobby goes into this bullshit story about why he was mad...Then at the end of the meeting he had the balls to look at me and say "Alan I am not out here for the pussy.." I wanted to jump up and say THEN WHY AND THE FUCK ARE WE EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS... His fruit smoothies must have rotted his brain because 10 min prior he was telling me that I was not allowed to hang out at there after show parties because they didn't want me and some other people stealing there girls...NEWS FLASH DORK YOU DON'T OWN ANY OF THESE GIRLS... SO....I keep a low profile the next few days....Now here is where I get into it with Rocket... There is this girl who I have seen at least 20 times on the tour...I asked her if she could pick up the girl I was dating at the time at the airport so I could save the money.. She says yes...She picks up this girl and comes to the show... I put them on our guest list and they got Vince passes not Poison passes... I'm having a great time and Rocket says to me before they go on stage "YOU BETTER LOSE THAT CHICKS NUMBER AND WE WILL TALK AFTER THE SHOW".... I am not even with the chick he is freaked out about...I am with my friend from Phoenix ... I am getting pretty drunk at this point and I told Vince what happened and he told me when you talk to Rocket you tell him fuck off... So I get called to Rockets Dressing room... I felt like I walked into an ambush... all of the neon bitches and Bobby were in the room and Rocket goes on about how he didn't want this chick around and was I fuckin her ect.. When he said he didn't want her around it pissed me off because he took the pass I gave her and changed it to one of his personal passes (which were totally GAY)....ROCKET if you didn't want her around then why didn't you have her kicked out? Rocket went on and on about this and when he was done running his pussy, he looked at me and was waiting for me to say "I am sorry" .... BUT I TOLD HIM TO GO AND FUCK HIMSELF... you can't tell me or anybody who they can and can't be friends with you fuck head.. He then stood up and started to scream and yell come on lets fight... I guess at one point it was regarded, along with its messageboards, as direct competition for Glitz. Now, most people can recognize that both have their merits, and the two can co-exist.
The animosity was mainly due to idiots like 'Real Metal' or whatever his name was, coming here and calling everyone fags.
I tried to keep up with the gossip board for a while, but it contained very little that interested me. Each to their own, I guess. I know I can read the main site for entertainment, and come back here for 'mostly intelligent' views/opinions.

I find Sludge very entertaining at times. The MSG board there is rather immature for the most part. I tried to sign up for it but never got accepted. Which believes me to believe Steve has something to do with Sludge.

1) a neon bitch is a poison security guard usually led by a guy named "big john". they are called this cause they are always wearing the same matching black outfits with the poison green neon outlining them and the poison logo on the back. if you want to meet poison these are the guys that hand out the p*ssy passes.
each member of poison is assigned 1 of these guys. except for brett. usually "big john" is with him and more often than not you'll see a chick with him too and that is the gal that runs brett's fan club stuff. by the way she is ULTRA COOL so i can not see her getting involved in this stuff but...i can see john being a part of it! Ok, so maybe I didn't choose my words wisely, with the comment about competition between Glitz and Sludge.
Our little glam board is tiny compared to the Metal monster. But some of what appears there is relevant here, and vice versa. I think my view of 'rivalry' stems from attempts to drag posters elsewhere. There was constant references to Sludge board content. Also, no disrespect meant, but I remember how D's DeviantsReunited board was regularly raved about by some people. Much like the many other groups/boards which spring up and attempt to coax people away, from time to time. I think these fragment and weaken our little community.
I just know I don't wanna repeat myself across a whole host of boards. I have trouble keeping up with one or two!
My 6 cents.
The one constant has always been the attitude within' this board. It stays clean from the BS quite well, with most of the drama taking place in PM's and emails. When it does spill over onto the board, it dies a fast death. That is why I stay here. All of these other boards run by the whole "say whatever you want, and act however you want" rule. This place tries real hard to keep with respect for one another. That, IMO, is why Glitz has survived while the splinter-boards have all died.
When the Sludge Wars were going on hot and heavy, things spilled over onto other boards, mostly EZ, but this one as well. Certain posters would come here to start shit. As I've said before, it got to where any thread I posted on would be trashed by people whose sole purpose was to give me shit, nothing else. Certain posters here were used as tools by those people, both here and elsewhere, to start shit and/or be their mouthpieces.
Regarding Sludge itself, the main page is still okay, just not like it used to be.
The various EZBoards have all become quite insular, and that includes Sludge, probably burnout from the aforementioned wars.
Anybody else here have a cat? My cat hates it when you touch her butt. So, whenever my cat walks past, I have to pat her on the hip area, just to get her to turn and swat. It's quite funny to get a reaction out of something by just the slightest action.

And why did the GNet downtime come about? A short spell at FoxKids, and a server closure.
I'm glad this place isn't an ezBoard, as people are less inclined to come here and bring shit from those other boards. It's all too easy with the nym-shifters, as you yourself know.
Maybe DR and G2 could've thrived, but I feel more comfortable here, where we were all together, rather than in little groups dotted here, there and everywhere.
Then again, everyone has their choice where they post. You sound like you reluctantly post here, Jay. No one's forcing you.

The censoring of G'net back then was needed, IMO. It was getting to the point where every single thread turned into a pissing match between a few people, and no matter what Spice said, they wouldn't stop. It was really her only course of action. Finally, the people who were paying for the board (which was NOBODY connected to Gzine) got sick of all their money going to watching these people fight like little mentally handicapped kids, and they pulled the plug. I all had to happen since nothing else was going to stop the stupidity.
Stace, for a looooooonnnnnngggggg time G'net operated fine. Some people just enjoy trying to create the drama, and thereby drag it with them wherever they go. Hell, one of those people created the drama with their very first few posts on the old board.

The EZBoard thing is a double edged sword. One one hand, as you say, it makes it easier for deliberate trouble to find its way, but on the other, it makes it easier to recruit new members.
As for me being "reluctant", I wouldn't call it that, more like once bitten, twice shy.
