For those of you who have watched the Crush video, we mostly agree that it is a good thing that Darren chose the plain Jane at the end. Does anyone actually think he would do that in real life? Perhaps this is verging on private matter, but I am just wondering how true to himself it really is.
It makes me think about a question someone asked about Tiger Woods..why does he date only tall beautiful blondes..the answer was because he can.

I hope he would...and it's not just an act, but you all have been following him more closly and longer than I have...and I guess I am a bit cynical at times.
At least here I don't get jumped on for my thoughts, unlike that other place..sheesh...I am beginning to see why so many people have left the other place.

I guess I just keep thinking the man is just too good to be true...one of those guys that we all dream of but doubt really exists...because he seems to be that guy, every woman's dream..at least this woman's dream [img]smile.gif[/img]

Actually, I'd like to add to what I said [img]smile.gif[/img] I like to think he would, but I've been hurt a lot and I think most blokes would have picked the one who looked like the model and I don't see why Darren would be an exception to that rule.
Sometimes I think that when he's spouting all that "...your most attractive features are your heart and soul" stuff, he's saying it to try and convince himself he believes it.
As for the other place, well it's really dull over there these days and I only go there for pm's and to read a couple of the fics.

I just wonder if in his videos and interviews he says and does what his fans want to hear and see...you know keep us hopeful...I am not saying that is what he is doing but it crosses my mind that might be what is happening.
I hope he does believe that a person's most attractive features are the heart and soul but since I do not know him personally I can't say for sure that yes he does.
God if I said this over the other place I would be flamed something fierce...I'd look like a piece of charcoal..all for expressing my opinion.

i havent its because they can have who they want and they dont want to spoil their "image"

I wouldn't say I am saying he is lying...maybe misleading would be a better term....but like I say I don't know him personally, just what he wants us to know about him so I can't say one way or the other, I was just wondering what other people thought....

Do you honestly think he would say I want a skinny model with big boobs? Probaly not, but he's a nice person from what I can tell. So he wouldn't want to hurt anybodys feelings. Maybe that is a little misleading.

Not all men do....take my ex for example (probably not the best example because he's not a real man LOL)...not many women want to hear their boyfriends have a child from another relationship with another woman...but we accept it..until we find out it's not true...he was a dumbass

I don't why people feel the need to be insulting to you when you express an opinion that they don't agree with. I remember someone calling me ignorant because I didn't agree with her.

Too many people are of the mind that if you disagree with them then you are wrong and stupid and that is it. They are so narrowminded they can't see any other views than their own.
I mean there is no one out there who cares for Darren anymore than I do, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with 100% of the things he does or says and sometimes I don't..that doesn't make me stupid or any less of a fan...at least I don't think it does [img]confused.gif[/img]
Sara to be honest I've often wondered about this myself and questioned is he for real in the things he says. I have come to the conclusion that if he were just saying these things to make him appear more appealing to his fans then by now he would have tripped himself him in some way because nobody can keep up an act like that for several years. I maybe completely wrong of course as this is only my honest opinion of him and like the rest of you I can't boast of knowing him personally. I'd like to believe that what he says he means and acts upon it and until he proves otherwise I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt [img]smile.gif[/img]

I hope with all my heart he isn't putting on an act... but who can tell? Ok, he hasn't slipped up so far but have we been watching him that closely? I agree you can tell from who he marries, but what about Colby? *would be a piece of charcoal on the other board by now for mentioning that name* Was she stunning? Did they split up because Darren realised he could get better? (By the way I don't know the answers to those questions and I am genuinely wondering)

I agree with what you are saying Janie...until he gives me a reason to doubt him I really have to reason to.
I know someone said something to the effect of, why are all his crushed beautiful women like Kylie, Natalie Portman and Natalie Imbruglia....well he is not likely to say he has a crush on Ellie Wood (using my dogs name LOL) since no one would know who he was talking about...and it just happens that to be famous and successful, at least for the most part for women, you have to be beautiful. The less than pretty women ever make it to stardom.

And he is never going to reveal the true object of his affections openly cos that's getting into his private, personal life which he guards very closely, so he's only likely to say who he admires or fancies if they are already publicly known.
