Just a few quick hits.
I picked up a copy of the new Springsteen disc called the rising. It's his first work with east street since born in the usa. The critics love it. My take is if you like the boss you won't find much in the way of the usual formula. But the disc was inspired and written about the sept 11 tradgedy. He interviewed different family's of people affected etc. It covers a range of topics, feelings and emotions. The alblum is a little solumn and dark, yet fileld with emotion. Like Bob Dylan he is a great american writer, storyteller, poet. Dylan is interesting "cat". That's another tangent altogether.
If you like non traditioal jazz I just heard a copy from the internet of Pat Methany live at the philly jazz fest 1990 with Herbie Hancock and Jack Dejohnnes. It's a scorcher.
I just got Cherie the 80's collection but have yet to give it a listen. I was on music oveload yesterday.
Have a an excellent weekend.
It's a nice work.

as I can squeeze in the 2 days.

Just like to say The Vines Highly Evolved CD is fantastic. Female wise Avril Lasagne or whatever her name is from Canada, that young girl with the single "complicated" well her CD is highly rotatable on my stereo of late.
