you have the right kit.
the other two mounts is on the bottom, not the top two.
Yup. Also on the rear one. I looked at this for a while, and I couldn't figure out how to remove it. Any ideas?
I just installed the front two mounts on my friends car this weekend...that back one looks like a monster to do!!.....it looks like you have to get to the mount bolts from the top...you better have air tools!!....my friend is going to get it installed at a shop in the next day or two...I will ask him how they did it....has anyone here done it yet??...

rear mount...
take off your intake... jack up car... lift is better. get it pretty high... enough to get to the rear bottom bolts. (2 of them) Then you can get to the rear mount bolt via where you took off the intake.
after you loosen the bottom 2 bolts, then loosen and remove the top 2 bolts. THERE ARE 4 BOLTS IN ALL. carefully remove the bracket thru the bottom of the car, otherwise good luck trying to get it through the top
you can either put in the inserts w/ the mount on (hard as shit to do) or unbolt the mount and then put in the bushings.
reassembly is the opposite... look for the other motor mount question for all the torques on the bolts.
its easier to take out the bracket than put it in.... GOOD LUCK. 2-3 hours

When I look under the car I can bearly see the bushing. I can see it from the top, but I cannot see how you could get a tool up from underneath. Looks like air tools are nearly required to do the rear bushing. Is this rear one bigger, and all round?
i have my rear insert installed...
the driver side and passenger side mounts don't fit... the notches of the insert don't line up with the stock mounts....
anyone know?
waste of money.....
TurboGSR how did you get the rear mount in??...whats the best way to get to it??

The side two mounts DO fit, but you're looking at the wrong mounts.
You put the inserts in at the mounts you can see from the wheel wells. You can see the 2 large mount bolts in each of the front wheel wells.
hehehe...
build your engine....
then you can get that rear one in...

the side mounts go into the lower A/C bracket mount and the smaller tranny mount?
what?
a pair of inserts goes into the lower tranny mount you can see in the passenger side wheelwell.
the other pair go into the lower engine mount you see from the drivers side wheelwell.
i see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.....
coo coo coo...
will give it a try...
thanx folks...

Keep in mind that the ES mounts are designed to reduce engine torque.
The upper drivers side mount and the upper (top) transmission mount are the rotational points... that is, they are the axis in which the motor rotates from front to back. Putting poly mounts in these two locations does not accomplish much, as they are not reducing the "twisting" motion of the motor. This is where the other three mounts come in.
Does this make better sense now ?!?

I installed my ES mounts during the swap. I had the entire GSR and Civic front sub-assemblies removed from both cars though.
My mounts were EASY! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif . Took about 25 min for all 3.
Good luck to everyone who attempts doing this with the motor still in the car.

Oh well.

I've done a rear mount install on my Civic EX and also a rear mount install on my friend's Integra GS. Both were done without having to remove any major components. All you need are various 3/8" drive extentions and flex extensions as well as a flexible arm. It's a very cut and dry procedure that shouldn't take more than 1 1/2 hours.

How many poly inserts are there in total? I've see mention of the numbers 3 and 5 and 6. What's the scoop? The kit from ES comes with 3 right? Do they have a 'complete' kit that includes all of them?

Hey guys, I noticed that the front outside inserts are always popping out a little. I've been under the car twice since install and noticed this. I always push them back in but I was thinking of putting a big washer between the bolt and insert to hold it in? Whacha think?

Yep, HUGE washer the size of the MOUNT inserts do fine for me! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
If THAT fails, use ZIP TIES, kinda rinky dink, but i think your reputation would outlive the "ZIPTIED ENGINE" jokes you may recieve! HEHE! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Greg, how are the two front bushing helping out as compared to stocky? What about the increase in vibration? Is it bad?
