Hey All,
I've just posted two more MP3's. I had to encode at 112 kbps to fit them in my allotted server space. The links are below. Hope you enjoy them!
This tune is called "You Got It" off of Brandon Field's "Other Places" album (OOP).

Tom Brechtlein is on drums, and I think he just grooves his ass off on this one, and kills the solo. There's not a hint of hesitation anywhere, and it's not exactly the easiest chart in the world to play. Killer drum sound, too, IMO.
This one is called "L's Bop" off of an obscure OOP vinyl LP called "The Griffith Park Collection" from 1982.

Off Other Places, also check out "The Face on Mars" with Vinnie on it (I think that's the name of the tune. Its the last track on that album)

I actually am lucky enough to have original CD's of both "The Other Side of the Story" and "Other Places".
IMO, "You Got It" is the best cut off "Places." Vinnie plays on a couple of cuts, but nothing jaw-dropping (by Vince's standards anyway).
I don't have enough server space to post the entire albums, but I can post some other tracks if there's any interest. Y'all can drop me a line if you'd like a copy of the whole thing.

Thanx, mja...I 4got to say, i've listened to a bit of TomB over the yrs, & he's a fine player, quite good actually...remember his stuff w/ Chick yrs ago...have a coupla Robben Ford discs w/ him...also have him on VHS, live concert w/ Al Dimeola Band [i saw Ritchie Morales on the actual tour at that time]...it also had that SLAMMIN' keybst, i believe his name is Kei Akagi, on it...
If i rem. corr., GBiss did a fine job on BF/OSOTS...
How's that BF/OPs "Face-" tune? The chart doesnt necessarily show it to be a "ripper" [not that every tune, w/ or w/out VC, NECESSARILY has to be [img]wink.gif[/img] ]....
[edit]: HOHHH-kaayyy! That mag chart [BF/OP/FOM] was actually an excerpt taken from the piano solo dur'g that tune. Upon closer inspection, it's pretty cool...then i went & listened to mja's mp3 of it [posted below] & hear Vinnie's actual interpretation/play'g of it...as it turns out, it's bit**in', of course [img]cool.gif[/img] ...there r nuances in VC's playin that it sounds like the chart "missed"...NTM the fact that it says VC penned the tune...who's playin' perc?

Yeah, Bissonette sure kicked some ass on OSOTS. One of my all time favorite drum sounds. I'll try to get "Face" posted today or tomorrow.

I've heard about this album 4 yrs & yrs, but I've YET to find it anywhere...I've heard "Other Side of the Story" b4 w/ GBiss [b4 it was lost many yrs ago in a move], but not this 1...
I do, however, have an great ish of "Drums & Drum'g" fr Jan '91 w/ VC on the cover, & on p.31 there's a rather nicely printed transcriptn of "Face-" [by Wally Schmalle]....

Thanks for the kudos...glad you guys are digging the tunes...just trying to keep the good vibe going. Let me know when you've all got this track downloaded. There's another cut off that album with Vinnie on it that I think is better.

The drum'g on 'Face-' was vintage Vinnie [i guess that means that i'm sayin' it's killer, IMHO!]
Now u have me goin' about the other 1 that u say is even "better"!...
