don't forget the evaporator. that's another 10 lbs or so. you can order a duct to replace it. or just take the core out and reuse the case halves for the fan ducts.

i tried that and could not handle the heat so i put it back.
Its too hot here in texas to live w/out AC. Plus Im only a heavy 125lbs so my car isnt very heavy even with me in it. LOL

I am pulling my AC out today. Due to the fact that the line broke of the condinsor so i have no refridgerant in it at all and the belt isnt even connected to it. It hit 91 degrees two days ago. That was the hottest it's been in Albany NY since 1999!

MacGever, you've gotten to get that filter out of the engine compartment (make some kind of heatshielf or something)...that exhaust heat is killing you...

JGluder: the AC line was broken off the condensor. so it didnt work anyway.

Holden: Its an S model del Sol 5 spd. They did not come with power steering http://www.pwrhouse.com/ubb/smile.gif and im glad Im not a big power steering fan anyway.

that was the same reason i took mine off.could not stand it so i had the condensor repaired and put it back on.it is so much better now.just make more power and don't worry about it.
Hell no, I bought my 2 Hondas so I'd have cold A/C, plus, when Florida brings you a little liquid sunshine, you need it to see so you can drive. It sucks trying to drive in a downpour with the windows down and a wet rag trying to keep the windows from fogging up on ya. Either that or turning on the heat, which feels great on a 95 degree day with 100% humidity!!!

it was raining and was hot and humid and sticky and all around bad. and then got worse when going down the interstate my windows started fogging up. So i turned the heat on. and it went away every where except my drivers side window. I then realized installing my Air fuel gauge in that vent wasnt a good idea either even though it looks pretty cool. I dont know if im gonna put the AC back in or not. I think ill just buy another car to drive around daily. and just race the del Sol.... I like that idea http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
