How ya doin?
Not bad, not bad at all. Thankfully I have the next two nights off of work. I'm especially thankful because they're replacing the carpets in the lobby, and the smell of glue has been making me nearly high two nights in a row.
How you doin'?
Pretty OK, especially since I didn't get fired for punching my co-worker the other day.
*blink*
Well, sometimes it just up and breaks for the barn.
Was there an actual reason for this punching incident, or has your lawyer advised you to blame PMS?
Agressive negotiations?
Right cross? Uppercut? Quick jab? I'm wondering about technique more than consequences. :)
fuck it....just say it was a piledriver
Don't you know hitting with a closed fist is against the rules?
No, wait, that's wrestling. Never mind.
OMG! Punching a coworker?!
Why didn't I think of that?
In retrospect, I feel very good now. Sorry.
Question is, did it work? I've been tempted to line my deskclerks up in a row, and pick one at random to have pugilized. Obviously being nice is getting nowhere, I'm seriously considering terror tactics these days.

Just make them think your unstable, and might snap. the fear SHOULD keep them in line
Yeah, that tactic worked wonders for Grand Moff Tarkin against the Rebel Alliance.
I pretend that I can choke them with telekinesis, but let them off easy because I don't want to succumb to the dark side. ;)
She doesn't do that already?
Grand Moff Tarkin never had to deal with an F&B department.
this is true as well.....
His troops weren't stupid. Those clever rebels just managed to get a hold of the blueprints to his bad-ass battle station. Then the crafty m.f.ers exploited a weakness in it's structure and blew the thing up.
I almost cried at his loss. ;)
Sorry to disappoint you all, but the reason I didn't get fired for punching the coworker was because I didn't punch her, no matter how much I really wanted to. That was one of my self-control techniques, chanting to myself 'If you punch her you will be fired. If you punch her you will be fired.'
The short form of the incident is that she was on the phone (annoying in and of itself) and I heard her say, "Terry and I are here." *laughs* "Yeah, Estoy solo." For those of you who are Spanish-impaired 'estoy solo' means 'I am alone'. I found this statement highly insulting to both me and my intelligence, since I make no particular secret that I speak some Spanish. (A little background here: We're in Southern California, she is of Latin American background, I am not.) What made it worse was that when I called her on it, she tried to lie her way out of it by saying she meant we were alone, which insulted my intelligence further by implying that I can't tell the difference between 'estoy' and 'estamos'.
Grrrrrr.
Sorry, pissed me off a bit.
Grand Moff Tarkin was a excellent leader, he just died cause of his troops stupidity....yeah thats it.....
Okay, forget the telekinetic choke hold. You can borrow my lightsabre to take the bitch out. :)
Thanks, Jace, but she appologized yesterday, so I can't still be mad at her. Well, I can't kill her now, anyway.
Darth Vader would have killed her WHILE she was apologizing.
She sounds like she's just as dumb as she is rude. People like that deserve co-workers who are talented with the force. You should try the same tactics on her and see if she likes it.
Eris: D.V. ain't me, especially since I've now seen him when he was 'good'. (And watch it, I'm a culinary student.)
Everyone else: I'm glad I came back. I'd forgotten how good your support makes me feel.
Tery, we just need to make you a butcher knife out of solid light particles...
Oh hell, just give her a full cutlery set. It'd make a great graduation gift.
"What's that one?"
"Oh, that's my light steak knife."
"And that one?"
"Light bread knife."
"And, um, that one?"
"That is my meat cleaver! Care to see it in action?"
"Eek!" *runs away*
Whuzzzz...
"Next on Cooking with the Force, Terygon will show us how to prepare shish-kebabs without even using a flame."
Whuzzz...
And tonight's challenger on Iron Chef---Obi Wan Kenobi!
(wouldn't that be worth it?)
(speaking of Star Wars, more specifically Episode II: Attack of the Hack Writers, did Frank Oz open the can Muppet Whoop-Ass or what?)
LOL!
"Burners? BURNERS? We don' need no steenking burners!"
Attack of the hack writers!?
* holds sides from laughing *
That movie was so lame, I'm going to show them by not even going to the next one. Boy will they miss me!
I find your lack of faith disturbing Gem.
as do I lord Va-san.....Maybe you can show young Gem the Power of the dark side........
* makes strangling noises *
*grins Evily*
Oh dear god...
Puttin' paid to the powers of the dark side, it's all just part of the job, Jaxie...
* still gasping for air *
Isn't somebody going to help me?
It is too late young Gem.....Now you know the power of the dark side. And I'm afraid your friends on that moon will not servive.....
See, now, if you hadn't stolen my fuschia lightsaber in that other thread...
oh, wait.
I've got two of them.
Never mind.
*attacks the dark ones with the spare lightsaber*
I stole it?
I thought you didn't want it?
Oh well, thanks anyhow!
* gasps, coughs *
