they are now havin a request nite, i think the way it goes is:
1. you take any cd's you want played,
2. give it to a stranger whom you do not no,
3. trust this person to play ur cd(and not run off with it!)
4. listen to your cd being played (or start running after the person who has just nicked it!)
havent been yet but its on sat nights and i dont no how gud it is so dont blame me if you go and its shit! blame the old muse for fucking up the rock scene (again!)
if ne1 has been let me no whether to go or not.

I was told by the workers their its back to saturday rock nights. . . the request night was quite shit lol, mainly older people requesting old pop songs or new pop songs. . . just crap songs lol. . . but i did get my cd's played so it was ok

Jeez, there aren't any 14 year olds in there when i go, it's mostly older people, and yes before you say, i do look around 14, but actually the olde musician isn't that bad, i can take whatever music i like and play it and this is great seeing as most of the things you play don't interest me in the slightest, last week they had The Stranglers on, boy was i impressed.

good point. ive got to admit the matrix club aint that good (sorry ants) and the range of music at the old muse is great. u dont get the little kids nemore because for some reason they seem to follow u ants! no offence but you seem to have a thing with kids! lol

They arent allowed in the Matrix at all...so they havent followed me..its full of people actually old enough to drink...and hasnt got stroppy fucks on the bar...
Besides...none of you would have gone to the muso if it werent for me.

I'd get a membership for the Matrix club but i'm not "cool" enough or "scene" enough to go to the club. Plus i havent been in any famous Gy bands. Plus i have no friends to go with.

i was in the muso last saturday night, 5 till 730, it was ace. then i went back at 945 ish, it was shit. it is nice not having the "SCENE KIDS" around, it seems more honest, which is something alot of ppl in gy aren't.
everyone would get along alot better if they werent constantly trying to better each other. thats my two cents.
and EVERYONE danced to the "shitty" pop punk covers, but only a select few mastered the "punch the floor, windmill, spill pint, look like a prick" dance that charlie butt demonstrated so well.
everyone in gy dances like a cunt. i think its funny as fuck. sometimes its ironic, and thats funny, but sometimes, some kids think it really is the way to dance.

then I recommend Matrix....it is relaunching as of Saturday..no pool tables upstairs just a big room that you can have a dance in....and it is 100% request....something Katie forgot that I have always done......
Incidentaly make your requests early...I never have time for them in the last hour usually....

Yeah the pool tables (well 3 of them) were left going so therefore no-one could really dance cos a they felt stupid being pissed when people are playing "quiet" games of pool and
b it was too damn bright...this week it will be darker with more atmosphere....

it can be strict! i usually went in with friends as i am not a member. i went and got a drink sit down and decided i may as well become a member, it would mean i dint have to be with friends to go in! i went up and asked to goin and they got me the form and ONLY THEN asked me for id!! at this time i had a drink in my hand that i had gotten myself and i dint have any id... so they refused to give me the id and to serve me!!
So if your goin into the matrix go with a member and sign in all the time, dont ask to join if you dont have id cause they will turn you down and then will not serve you.
i hope ppl gain from my knowledge.
