sam has left us as of 29/01, and we are looking for a replacement. whether its temporary or permanent we don't know yet but any offers would be welcome.

for any *temps* we have a show in GY on the 15/02 with stand/HHH that we would still very much like to do, then out of town dates for the next few months starting 27/02...and for any *permies* we've got an offer for an album and a single on a 'small' label later this year, and interest from a 'bigger' label.

joe's gonna stand in on bass for the minute, thanks for the offers though. if anyone is up for joining us permanently then please mail me - bear in my mind though (without wanting to sound like tom ritchie) that we are gonna need a fair bit of commitment..not marriage or owt though.

joe marshall. he doesn't play bass, but then again sam played bass for the first time at his first practice with tNAS. and that wasn't that obvious.

This aint meant to be a diss..but, as im sure Jon will agree with me, most guitarists who say they can play bass are usually crap at it, (although im not saying any of you are crap b4 you harsh me out).

Bass is a hard instrument to play if you play it PROPERLY....none of this one note per bar crap

Likewise...Guitar is hard if you play it properly....i cannot as yet but i am learning. The thing is that the basics of guitar are harder to grasp at first than the basics on a bass, but to be a proper BASSIST you need to understand where and when not to put some crazy ornate(spelling?) bass line, (this took me years to realise).

its more the feel, then the complex. i dont confess to being the best bass player in the world, or in gy, i am now that good, but i do a job, i am a bass player not a gutarist, i could do fills that sound crazy, but wouldnt fit, its what you dont hear that counts.

Depends if you are in a band that is very bass orientated like The White Octave with the crazy off-rhythm craziness.

But in some bands it is nicer to blend
