Next week on Horsepower TV (TNN), they are installing a jr blower on a new civic si. They are also goin down to the local drag strip to check out some of those import racers! Check it out

Of course they pick the worst car to install the blower on, the SI has been getting horrible numbers from the Kit, usually due to not installing the correct things, but none of the idiotic import magazines can get it right!

I just borrowed and read the SCC with the SI showdown article where 3 of 4 entrants left with blown engines and all I could think was "What a bunch of clowns".

The "challange" sponsor - for having few rules and sloppy judging.

The entrants - for cheating on even the skimpy rules set forth.

The driver - for destroying the engines. Someone should tell him that driving a "street" car doesn't need techniques used when cars are disposable.

This was a bad idea taken to meaningless heights of stupidity. I feel sorry for the poor cars.

I'll make sure to tune in to TNN to see what those good ole boys have to say. It should be entertaining.

Note: There is a JUN power'd Si running 15 flat on 17in Tantrums and really bad clutch. He is running AEM front/rear big brake upgrade. He snapped and axle at Sunday's Domestic/Import shootout.

We figure our SI will pick up a .1-.2 tenths running his OEM 15in wheels or Lenso VPD's(w/ good rubber). Hopefully, we will get it on a dyno next month.....they keep putting it off. We have not tried lightening up the load yet. We are shooting for 14.4 or better in full street trim(w/stereo).

I agree with Holden. To me, it seemed that noone really took this contest seriously. In the end it makes Jackson look bad and may steer people away from the charger. If you were an outsider looking in and read this article about the blower destroying 3 out of 3 engines it was installed on, would you buy it? Probably not. I just think things could have been taken a little more seriously.

Ok, I went on horsepowertv.com and it says that the civic sc install will air on August 5th at 3:00pm ET/PT.

I got TWO E-mails today... one from Zach and the guys from "Club Si"... it says the show is this coming Saturday and Sunday (6/29 and 6/30), however, the other one says August 5 and 6... so which one is it really ???

PLEASE CLARIFY !!!

That is where I got the info that I sent you.

Those automotive 1/2 hour shows are a staple of TNN. They usually show them twice on Sunday and perhaps also on Saturday. I would not be surprised if everyone is correct.

I will try to remember to post the DirecTV time for this show when we get closer to Sunday.

As they say, "Check your local listings".

I usually try to catch all those shows over the weekend even Ship Shape!-I'm learning a lot about fiberglass !

Anyway, when they put that blower in, it will probably cut out a lot of the "headaches" -like the baked on intake gasket. Good publicity for Jackson and Honda though.

It should be on this weekend 7/29, and then I think they air it again on Sunday. (on the East coast)

I have met slater before he is a really cool guy. I thought he was only big in the del Sol community i didnt know he was Honda/acura wide.

Im about to start working on my slater CAI.

I have Slater clear reflectors on my del sol now.

On last week's show, it said next week they will install the blower. I don't know what to believe!! I will tune in this weekend though.

The car that the blower is going on was in SCC a couple of months ago. It is the blue one with the orange and white strips. It is this weekend and TNN has west and east feeds so time may vary. It is on Sat. and Sun. mornings in canada.

TNN trashed imports the last time they had them on the show.
