Great player, great guy and co owner of Bosphorous now.
I took lessons with him for quite awhile, he lived a few blocks away from me in Glendale, CA.

Jeff is one of the finest musicians alive today. I got a chance to see him with Ray Brown when I was in high school. He was kind enough to sit down and talk to me for a while. I walked out of that club a different drummer.

wow. no wonder g bissonette took lessons with him. he's like butta.

man, GREAT playing. Those cymbals sound beautiful too. (are those Bos? can't tell with no logos which also LOOKS great IMO)

Yeah, my old teacher [jazz/bop drummer] helped turn me on to Jeff, Tain, & Joey Baron way back in the mid-80's [I was JUST starting to get "the jazz tickle"]...he used to tell me that they were two of the next "new" cats in jazz evolution...he took me to see/meet Joey back then, & he also told me to go out & get some LA4 recordings w Jeff.

My old teacher told me to see him when he did a clinic with his trio over in Lawrence, KS, at a coffee shop. I got to sit right next to his floor tom and he about got my leg w/his drumstick when he crashed his china. That guy is incredible. He makes it all look so easy. If you get to see him live, ask him to play "A Night in Tunisia" for you. He does it solo on drumset and it's amazing! Get his "Hamilton House-Live at Steamer's" disk to hear him really smoke with his trio!
