I know that it is a famous saying by an old guy, but I also know that it is a song lyric, i didn't say that it is "best" known as a song lyric, and I can't even guarantee that it is a lyric that eminem uses in his song. but the question is, what is the song that has it in it.

I just ran across an article (actually it was a 20 questions interview with Diana Taurasi. You will notice that here favorite line from a movie or a song is

I know this is a lyric to a song, but I can't remember what song it is from. can someone please help me out here. I know there are several movie buffs and music buffs that should know this. I am thinking it is an eminem song, but I might be very very wrong.

i dont think its in any eminem song.

there are plenty of songs with that as a lyric.

I am afraid that not only are those not the songs I was talking about, but I have never even heard of any of those songs or singer/writers. I have forgotten about this and no longer am i distraught over the situation.

no...sorry...i don't listen to a whole lot of music, and the music i listen to is usually country. i might through in a little kid rock type country/rock or some pop here and there.....but none of those groups listed seem to show up in those genres.

how old are you KN (and where does KN come from...i would think it would be KB..for KingBean). i was alive in the 80's for the whole 80's i was alive in fact...i just didn't really listen to much music outside of what my parents listened to (mainly 60's and 70's rock).

Uhh.. so yeah, I'm 19, meaning I was born in -- ohhhh, is that what you meant? -- I was born in 1983. I didn't start choosing what I listend to until about 1996, so up until then I was fed crappy 70s and 80s rock from the olds.

It didn't feature a great deal of Adam Ant though (mostly AC/DC, The Beatles, and a few other old bastards).

But still... Adam Ant.. I dunno how you could not have HEARD of him! I mean.. he's.. like... an icon! Ant Music!!!
