A little lower than I expected. I seem to be missing around 10 ft lbs at the peak. Done at DynoSpot racing in Mt view, CA.
3rd gear runs, 10 degrees timing.
201.8HP and 146.8 ft lbs.
I think a lot of it has to do with the age of the catalytic converter. Its 6 years old with over 116K on it. I also have an aftermarket silencer on my PE because the original one got demolished from a speed bump.
Only 4 pulls, one with the static pressure raised to 70 and one lowered to 60. Interestingly enough, adjusting the FMU did nothing for performance, so I set it for lower fuel pressure.
All in all, not bad considering I have a high milage motor. With a new exhaust and larger diameter short ram intake, I think I should be able to hit 210 easily.
BTW, there was a SC yellow R at the dyno today. Does that belone to anyone on this board?

lol, yeah thats my friend. Did Lawrence do the runs for you? I will be at dynospot this Sat if you want to come down. Last time I went their I hit 199.6whp. This time I hope to hit well over that!

Where are you guys? I'm down in Santa Cruz. Good to see some "local" representation on the board here.

I'm in San Jose, and I believe Four Door GSR is in Redwood city. You should come down here some time. We now have alot of FI cars.

How much does a dyno session cost/hour in DynoSpot? I usually go to Skunkworks in Hayward. I live in DC and that's the closest dynojet which gives a reasonably cost dyno session for about $75 per hour.
-
The cost is 75hr also. If you want dyno tuning done by them, its 150hr. Personally I think dynospot rules! They have always been their for help. Lately everyone has been going their.

Yeah Lawrence did the runs for me. He's also done my timing belt, water pump, and cam gears previously at CB performance in SF. I've been going to that shop for years for parts and stuff. I highly recommend them.
This is my second dyno tune. The first was all motor which put out 157HP.
The yellow R was pretty sweet. Didn't even have plates yet and already was boosting.

Ya...the owner Dick is the nicest guy....
ive been there many of times...can't wait to go back and dyno my Rev Hard Kit..... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Four Door GSR - What were your gears set at?What was your max fuel pressure during runs?
I believe Lund found good results with running +3.5 or so intake, -2 exhaust.
-
Actually they were just baseline runs without any cam gear tuning. Currently they're at 0,0. The problem is, the shop who installed my SC stripped the bolts on the intake gear, so until I have them replaced I won't really touch them. I'll have them tuned nexy time.
Any idea how im missing out on 10 ft lbs?
Well I have an underhood guage and while I was in the car flooring it, Lawrence peeked at it which read 86psi max. The A/F meter read rich the entire way.

I'll quote LUND:

quote:
AEM Tru Timing Gears - Results:
My 0 degree run had 191 hp, still a bit lower than it should be. But after the gears were tuned it went to 200, a gain of nearly 10 hp. But the nice thing is I picked up 4 ft lbs or so of torque all across the powerband, NOT just on top. This is why it feels much stronger all over. For the price, a good investment. My final settings were +3.5 or so intake, -2 exhaust

So there are some Cali guys on this board. But I think it's just me and SSBP here in So Cal. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif

dude I'm here in socali too (riverside). but I guess I'm not cool enough http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif

The thing that gets me is that the ones with the cam gears are the ones with less than normal hp and torque. Then when they "tuned"them they get closer to the normal hp and torque levels.
I still say cam gears are a waste of money. I am still waiting for someone to have good hp and torque try cam gears and get decent results.

That dyno is very old. I my cam gear settings have also changed. I've also confirmed that my rpm gauge is off, as the V-AFC has confirmed, so if I had put another 300 rpm on that dyno run, it would have gone to 205 or so, which is about right for some cars with 6psi.
Now SSBP is right though, I should have been there to begin with, without the gears, but I think they can help, but it may or may not be this much.
Others have had similar results.

Doh! Must have just missed you guys!
A couple of us Prelude owners were there this morning http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
It's a great shop! Very clean, very knowledgable people.
I did see a white Integra coming that way on my way out http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Can you guys give me a phone number and an address for Dynospot because Skunkworks is booked up solid for two weeks before the next available dyno session. I think Skunkworks is heavily developing their 10s NA teg, thus no dyno time available. Thanks.

Two white Preludes right? I had left just a few moments earlier. I think it was Thursday? It's been a while now... a couple of weeks? I was leaving in a black 4th Gen Prelude and saw a white Integra coming the other way.
-
Ok, I think that was me. Could you tell if the TEG was a type R with a Jackson Racing banner? If so, it was me. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

It could have been.
It was right about 2pm, I think.
We got to meet up sometime so I can check out your car!
-
Yeah, we should meet up. I will most likely be at dynospot Sat getting a AEM pulley kit installed on my friends '00 type R. Actually all of the FI integra's on this board should meet up. I would love to see the various FI Tegs' around here. Ill post a new thread on this
