See, here Vinnie seemed a bit "loose" in his intro solo, going for some things, taking some chances, and if something didn't pan out, going off in another direction. I still love watching how relaxed his left hand is. Everytime I watch him, I learn something.... Looks like he was playing a K ride, instead of his typical A Custom? I could do without the light show, however. (C'mon man, it's not a concert, it's a Vinnie clinic! [img]wink.gif[/img] )

Yesterday I finished downloading the full concert! It is a concert in Germany in 2001. And it is a great concert!! I don't know how I can post the full concert because it is a 700 MB File (1 hour footage).

...so please tell us, where did you downloaded from.. and maybe upload files continuously.. for example every week one new song...

I can setup a FTP server at my workplace. The only problem is that I only can give acces to one ftp link. So if one person is downloading the vid somebody else cannot download. I will setup the FTP server on monday. So be Patient!!

I agree with everyone!!!! Where can we get hold of the complete concert!!! the clip is just awesome stuff - put me down for a trade/buy/scrounge..wwhtever..by the way..I just got hold of a DVD copy of Sting's 40th from LA in '91 - Vinnie just cooks the night away on this one - great quality & priceless stuff. I'd only seen it on a poor VCD until then, but the DVD has chapters & all....itlooks like it was taken from a TV broadcast. I 'v e also noticed, while we're on the subject of DVDs(the other thread might be a better place for this, but Iknow you all read everything avidly, as I do) - I've noticed an awfull lot of String DVDs on Ebay lately - not official release either - they're all described as 'digital source'. I got a DVD Sting concert from 1994, taken from japanese TV, with Vinnie in superlative form - it's the show from Myazaki, and Vin's hi-hat stuff is just.......

....sorry - I meant Sting DVDs, not the 'how long's a piece of....' stuff - too early, not enough caffeine yet!

To my knowledge this is the concert where they recorded the tunes for the "Document", judging by Vinnie doing the little improv in the intro and then going straight into covering Don Grolnick's "Nothing Personal", there's a brief solo section again in the middle of the tune and then he trades bars with Landau and Garfield towards the end, but it seems to be "cut" on this video clip [img]mad.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/grrr.gif[/img]

PS-Is it me or does Vinnie wear nothing but sleeveless black shirt [img]wink.gif[/img]

This vinnie concert can be downloaded from emule server ProbPrinz.de I'm dowloading it for about 1 week now and I've only got about 100mb, so it takes a while to get the whole concert.

P.S. I've just downloaded PlanetX live in bulgaria, anyone in for a trade??
I'll try cut the concert in pieces(never done it before) so I can post it on the board.

I have this on VCD. The solo VC takes on I'm Tweeked is nothing short of...AMAZING!! This entire thing was shot professionally...great camera angles..drum sounds,etc...I don't really know the story,as far as why this was taped to begin with. At the very beginning,Vinnie is messing with his snare and he looks over at the camera and doesn't seem TOO bothered! Who knows!?

I just got the prog.

Tons of stuff here from Vinnie, a live clinic which is about 164 MB, a Sting Concert from Oslo(1.6 GB [img]eek.gif[/img] ), Vinnie w/Chick Corea Blue Note, Vinnie with the Buddy Rich Orchestra and the final part with Vinnie/Gadd/Weckl, the entire Jing Chi album ripped into a ZIP among other things [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img]

For Weckl there's even more stuff including the first two warner videos(Back to the Basics/Next step ripped into a whole file [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] )

And I just did a serach for Steve Smith, the 25th Drummers Collective Anniv. is there(671 MB), his performance with the Buddy Rich Big Band, Frank Gambale's Concert with Class and sum other stuff from GHS.

PS-Virgil's "Power Drumming" Vid is there 2 along with the entire Serous Insects album

The program cuts the file in pieces, but after you've done that you can't play the small videoclips you've created.....help?

You didn't really create videoclips, just segments of the original file that have to be put *back together* by that same program. It allows people to get the smaller files one at a time over dial-up.

I dont have a problem serving part of the concert. I have a limit of about 50MB but my storage is on a college campus, therefore, on a big internet pipe.

Maybe breaking up the concert by song and then splitting is the way to go.

I'd like to see this thing.
