what is your favourite ever grimsby gig. and why?

Erm, Assfest was pretty damn cool. Didnt see many of the bands though cos i got absolutely wankered...as did most people [img]smile.gif[/img]

Do you mean DIY gigs or any gigs in GY? Cos the A and Groop Dogdrill gig in 97 was fantastic too. and the one minute silence one a few years back was quality too.

a couple of gigs ive played were good too, one at cartergate (cant remember when) and the skatearama gig a few years back.

theres probably more just cant rememeber atm

nonsense shows were always great.

i aint been out that long really, plus i have a short term memory(! [img]confused.gif[/img] !) so i'll just say Matty Robbinsons the other day lol [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

The naked mosh instructer was good, great gig that. Think my favorite gig was lubby nugget, yeter pang at west marsh. Brods was playing in yeter pang coz someone was on holliday. He was learning the songs in the car park outside 5 minutes b4 hand. ACE

yer, Alex Hunter did that for an L2Y gig at the spiders coz Lee didnt turn up

and it went reeaaaly bad!

i liked the local band gig at west marsh, ufk,lwat,asd,and l2y. loads of ppl turned up and the atmosphere was good.

yeh i enjoyed that alot [img]smile.gif[/img] i also relly enjoyed UFK, Skinotes and OCP at west marsh...that was another with a ded fun atmosphere...

i REALLY enjoyed the matrix this friday....fun.

hmmm, best gig in gy...

burnout aren't getting much support here so i'll say their last gig at winter gardens. also earthtone9 were amazing at beachie and the groopdogdrill/a/wildhearts was a nite not to be missed!

i still have a groupdogdrill lighter from that gig! wow how long ago was that?

cant remember when it was but that imbalance gig when we all got on stage for the last song. looking back there have been a lot of shit bands but a hell of a lot of good ones an all. man, i love yous guys.

Most of the gigs that I played in were pretty good. A lot that I didn't play in were awful. A few were great:

Imbalance, Spy Vs. Spy, Propaghumbis
Stand, That shit band with the electric violin, Stampin' Ground
Imbalance, Good Clean Fun, Red Lights Flash
Last Grimsby Imbalance show
Andy Tyrrel has been highly underated and overlooked.
Any Ex-Members gig, bar the Spider's Web and Park lane catastrophes. The Nathanial Green show was particularly good.
