Now, with this website, I certainly will be keeping a close watch.
This certain aussie grrl has kept me informed of your goings on recently! http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

How's that song go??? ""Cherie we love you, oh yes we do." It might be borrowed from somewhere else, but that doesn't mean it's not true. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

Very classy of you to respond in person.
-
there's another tasty song called 'Cheri' by 20/20 which was on their debut album, produced by Earle Mankey, who also twiddled the knobs on the Queens of Noise album.
'cheri, cheri, you're making my dreams come true..
cheri, cheri, is there anything i wouldn't do...
cuz i'd do anything, i'd do anything, i'd do anything, i'd do anything...
oh cheri open up the door...' etc
glad you liked it!

One thing about Cherie, people, is that she is SOOOO LOVING! As much as we have always seen her as the CHERRY BOMB, she is actually more like a warm hearted MOM! She is so down to earth and caring and appreciates her fans SO very much - can't you tell??!! She doesn't take us for granted. I know she feels truley blessed to have all of you and it makes her feel wonderful deep in her heart - did I come close, Cherie??? xox!!! We love you because you are so loveable! xox! Sheri

Yes, SweetieGord, I have been known to self-combust! I don't know about the demi-God status, but Cherie is definitely an ANGEL!
-
good lord sheribomb!! i thought you were going to self-combust there for a minute...
i knew Cherie was pretty great but i didn't realise she was verging on demi-god status.
Mom's the word!
love and stewed cherries,

No more talk of Demi
Reminds me of 'Parasite'.
-
Not the "demi" that I was referring to there.
And what's wrong with "Parasite"??? I even have it on DVD. Although it's shame they couldn't find a way to release it in 3D like it was originally. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

Hello Cherie
This is my first posting here, and i am thrilled to be able to communicate with you, after all these years!
I was The original Runaways fan (in the UK)
loved everything you did, followed your career really closely, was gutted the day i read in the NME that you had finally quit the band.
I have grown up a lot since then of course, and just stumbled across this board via the Joan Jett website.
Went to see Joan at the Roxy in NYC,in March
and this really renewed my interest in her and the band (though i was always a fan of yours first and foremost - bought Beauty's only skin deep/Messin with the boys and have just bought the CD of that album with extra tracks)
Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but it really is great to hear you are doing ok and that we may finally get to hear some new stuff from you soon.
Stay well
Love
Dave in the UK

miss currie
perhaps you should try and get in touch with Robbie and propose a re-recording of Angels with the two of you doing a duet?? think about it...
tasty robbie's new studio album should be out soon in the meantime.

I'm loving this message board big time and i'm counting down the days until the start of the Chiller show (68 counting today). http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
sheribomb: one is fun, but twice is nice. I'm talking about posts here people. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
devilsdaughter: Wavelength was better (more Miss Currie), but Parasite was so bad how could someone not like it??? http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
sCott a RocketMaster
-
actually i don't really remember Parasite - Wavelength is more up my alley...it's all a conspiracy!!! sorry... (hi sweet cherie!)
-
Well devilsdaughter, "Parasite" was a classic 3D horror movie when it was initially released and was far better than "Jaws 3D" or "Friday The 13th Part 3 in 3D". Neither one of those had Miss Currie. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ Like going to see "Foxes" at the drive in, it was a case of "you had to be there". Anyone remember what a drive in was??? http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ hehehe
-
it's all coming back to me now.
and, yeah, rocketmeister i remember going to the drive-in wearing my 'jammies'...
-
I remember going to the drive-in and wrestling with some girl all night trying to get her clothes off, and I never saw any of those movies. We still have a few drive-ins here so the tradition continues! Only now I just sit in a lawn chair and watch the movie.
What I really meant to say was, hey Cherie Currie mentioned my name on the board, yay! But you can just call me bart.
-
I recently watched "Wavelength" (always a fave of mine), hadn't seen it in a buncha years and was surprised by it's similarity to Chris Carter's X-Files. (He admits to Kolchak the Night Stalker, but never mentioned Wavelength as an inspiration!) Seems that Devils Daughter concurs with that last post "IT'S ALL A CONSPIRACY"... are we alone DD? Anyone else think there was a little borrowing of ideas there?

Joe, are you saying that someone might have "borrowed" bits of "Wave Length" for their own purposes??? That would never happen in Hollywood. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ hahaha Of course in the meantime i'm still waiting for "Wave Length"
to come out on DVD. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
