When we were little, one of my brother's friends went around buying people's souls for $5 each. He made them sign a contract. Everyone laughed and took the money, except my brother. He's an athiest, but he didn't want to be kicking himself for all of eternity just for $5 if he was wrong. Many years later, after moving to another town, they ran into each other again. He's since become a born-again Christian and was in the process of tracking down every person whose soul he'd bought so that he could return it to him.

That's interesting. I've never heard that definition for phone tree before. What I refer to as a phone tree are those annoying menus.
