Im still awake. Havent even been to bed. Now the question since I have to be up in 2 hrs should I even really try? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm
CYA
Better not, tends to get you even sleepier.
And i wouldn't wake up in 2 hrs, so i know i shouldn't go to bed when i have two hours of sleep ahead of me.
Contrary to popular belief, the human body doesn't need 8 hours of sleep.
In actuality... 3 hours is really all you need... but even then... an hour will do, or two, or 15 minutes...
all sleep does is offer your brain a chance to process the dealings of the day basically...
when you're real tired, you enter dream state almost immediately, instead of the usual 90+ minutes it normally takes to enter the REM stages of sleep.
so... 2 hours of sleep is all you need man!
Why do people just stay up? I'd sleep my 2 hours, and wake up refreshed.
there are days where i'm refreshed with only 3-4 hours of sleep, but i don't like 2 hours sleep, i end up being even more tired than before.
I like my sleep, even though there's so much to do.
hey... i'm still waiting on that contest on
who's gonna stay awake the longest here....
Ouch.. i forfeit.
Unless it's during the holidays.
And i don't think that online is the right place for such a contest, it ought to be some sort of .. i dunno.. sleepless sleepover.
And there should be a pool
online is a good place.
it tests your strength against the hum-drum
of the internet and the blazing light of the
monitor.... its perfect.
hmmm,. but how do you report in?
i'd go watch a movie, play a game, surf.. etc.
i might as well be taking a powernap(tm)
Hum drum of the internet?
how can you say that!? There's all this por...
erm.....
all this poor information waiting to be soaked up!
it's not hum-drum!
it's exciting!
and the blazing monitor! yay!
how about stimulants?
Cafein, sugar? naked women?
all allowed?
hmmmm.... i was just thinking we should have like
a post war or something... just from point A to
whenever the last person is standing....
i dunno about daily routines... but potty breaks
are acceptable.
Potty breaks aren't the problem, the problem is that the post war will probably grind to a halt because there's only so much you can post about and because of daily routines like college or work
Work is good for you.
the whole point of the contest is to see how long
a person can stay awake....
in an eating contest... or even in the stuck on
a truck contest... they don't care about your job
or your school, you have to make a decision...
so regular routine doesn't affect the contest.
if you want to play... it would have to be when
nothing else can be in the way. which is why i
said it would have to be scheduled around that
mess.
Hmmm, good point, and some professors bore me to sleep, so it's best if i skip colleges then.
Maybe during the summer holidays?
When does the contest start?
a holiday would be preferrable.
Of course its' all allowed...
the rules.... i imagine... are just that you can't go to sleep...
i hope it's not sitting at the computer all day
i have way too much energy to do that...
i can't just sit here... i'm an college athlete i have to stay active!
Ok, so when is the next international holliday? A holliday over here may not be one over there.
What are the rules?
i thought the rules would probably go something like this.... -daily routines can go on as normal...
but in the evenings, you must be online.. posting, etc.
i have lots of stuff to do during the day....
all i'm saying is... in a contest structured around
time... giving 8 hours for a job, 2-3 hours for
school or whatever is simply not acceptable.

sorry to have to challenge..but since my mother IS an RN.. sleep is NOT just for your mind to recoop. sleep offers the necessary time for muscle relaxation. your muscles can stay tense for hours on end. sure, you dont care. i do. you know why? the most important muscles in MY body, the ones i use the most, NEED 8 hours of sleep. i know because i've tried to use them full out without that sleep and they dont work, or give out early and when you're on stage that doesnt cut it. the human voice requires 6.5-8 hours of sleep to fully relax and recoop. i'm not just quoting, i knew this before i ever read it. i got a GOOD (i say good cause i wasnt tired at all today) 3 hour sleep last night, and i couldnt sing to save my life. they are just too tired to work like i make them.
so you can keep your healthy 3 hour "mind sleep"..i need my 8 : )
shatzy im going to assume you have no major/important daily routines and this is a way of stacking the competition in your favour
