Do you know what really gets my goat?

What on earth does that really mean anyway? "Gets my goat". I don't have a goat!

It really bothers me when I see people not being given credit for news they have found, or pics they have scanned, etc.. etc..

I just can't understand what they big deal is here. When someone posts news about Darren, or a new pic/scan of Darren; why can they not just say "And thanks to so-and-so for this info"?

And as a side on that... why do people have to lie about where the info came from when it is plain obvious where the original piece of information came from?

I really shouldn't impose my personal views on the subject of giving credit, onto others. I am just so very cautious about ensuring that if I hear something from someone, giving them the upnod for finding the info or discovering the pic, or whatever. And I just can't understand why that should be a big deal. And I am thinking more along the lines of things posted on websites as opposed to message boards and such; and I think it goes for news more than pics because with pics, after they have ciculated so much it is hard to know the who/what/where/when/why of them.

Nah i think it's a valid thing to be upset about, i remember seeing a few of my much-older graphics on websites, one particular charmer had taken a graphic that had my name on the corner, editted out my name and then turned the graphic into an award they gave out at their site - without ANY credit to me! LOL

Of course, as you also said, sometimes it's hard to know where a graphic came from but when you are taking them from websites directly, it's not hard to know where they are from! :X LOL

And I hate people not giving credit. With old photos and stuff...well yeah. But new stuff, when people obviously know (or should know) where it came from, they should say so, or if they don't know, at least research a little to find out. Maybe that's nitpicky of me though *shrugs*
