Ok, Eris, I've been instructed by Ski and Jely that I should ask you what The Chaos Field is? Apparently you are to blame for everything that goes on away from the board? I don't know, I'm just trying to figure things out. [img]smile.gif[/img]
Can you help me please?
The chaos field is a simple way of saying "weird stuff happens around me".
Like, I move to MI, and without even trying, end up with a job and an apartment 5 blocks from each other. Or having three watermains blow up. Some of it can be explained by the fact that I work nights, and the people I run across are apt to do weird things because it's night time (or something), some of it just happens.
I am not, however, anymore responsible for everything weird that goes on on the board anymore than, say, Jely is innocent.

Of course your innocence isn't responsible for anything. Anymore than Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny are.
You know, arguably, Jely's innocence is therefore responsible for crushing the hearts of millions of children when they reach school age.
And consumerism.
And millions of really bad jokes from good artists who feel obligated to make holiday appropriate comic strips.
And dyed green marachino cheeries. And those gross little marshmallow bunnies.

See, Gem, the chaos field is all about BALANCE. As a for instance, there was Rainman at the hotel last night. Very aggravating experience. Especially since I was attempting to write a training manual while being "harrassed" on the phone. One *could* ask what I had done to deserve this.
Thing is, I *hadn't* done anything to *deserve* it. It just happened. I *did*, however, have it coming. Why?
Well, best I can figure is the carpet thing. My days off this month have been all over the map. And yet, everytime I take my days off, that's when they decide to install carpet right by the front desk. Two major carpet installations I've managed to miss, purely accidentally.
So, chaos field. Stuff happens. Whatcha gonna do?
well you could turn it off if you didn't get drunk that one night long ago when you lost the instructions.
Ski just liked Eris's Chaos Field to the Greatest American Hero's "super suit"...heh heh heh...
There are some remarkable similarities...
