I bught "Get Born" by Jet the other day. Good, not quite great though. They probably kill live though. But I fully expect them to hit "suck" mode with the second album, especially since they are major label and they have a song in a commercial. Hopefully I'll be wrong and they will listen to their own album and notice that the only weak spots are the slow songs, which make up half the release.
I have Jet's EP and am not overly enthused with it. Yeah, I can see them sucking second time out. I agree, Carl.

I don't think I have 5 cd's that came out this year, so I guess this is it;
Tigertailz - Original Sin
The X-iDolls - EP
Freewheeler - Whiskey & the Pills EP
NarrowMinded - Shut Up and Play!
Raggz, if you haven't heard them yet, check out the songs "Get Me Outta Here" and "Cold Heart Bitch" by Jet. Both songs are just straight up RnR that kick serious ass, and "Cold Heart" is a song so straight out of the 80's ROCK scene that many on this board would freak if they heard after seeing the band dressed in full make-up.
<font size="3" face="Arial">Maybe if I ever get you the stuff I owe ya Lycan, we can work out a trade as I would love to hear the Jet EP. Maybe that will tell me what direction they will be going to on the second album. I just get the feeling that somebody is making them sound like a 60's garage band ala The Hives. I would actually expect that they started life in more of the straight up RnR life. What is the EP like?Quote:
