ok I had a tape copied for me a while ago and now I am looking for the CD I was 99% sure they were called 69 Eyes but the stuff I have found on the internet for these guys is dark where as the tape I had was well glam and there was a song on there that went erh herm clearing my throat "Every single minute, you know that I'm looking for a lover, every single minute I'm looking for a lover in you, looking for a lover" *bows* well am I right or completely lost that plot? lol!! don't say a word lol!! It is ok I think I have sussed it I think they were just called Eyes
-
you could be right with the 69 eyes. there first couple releases were more sleezy hard rock ala faster pussycat/backyard babies and then they turned to the dark side and became a gothic type band ala bad type o negative rip off.
Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams is a good cd.
-
Bill, there also was a band merely called Eyes. Very melodic, if I remember correctly. Catchy.
-
i know, i was just mentioning the 69 eyes and how they changed. the song she is talking about is Every Single Minute from eyes first cd. Jeff Scott Soto does the vocals on this. [i think some one here likes jeff]
-
Right, they were EYES, that's the self titled album and yes I love JEFF voice. After seeing his gig last weekend I guess it was one of the best gigs in my life, he's a total proffesional artist and he knows how to treat an audience, he was so happy with Madrid audience he's going to do another gig today doing the QUEEN songs.
About the finnish band 69 EYES, they were glam at the beginning but I'm afraid they have changed...
-
Well I like singing "I am a Viking" when I'm really drunk on Guinness...Does that count?
Ashliegh
-
Ash too much info on your shower habits I think lol!!
Yeah the band I was thinking off was Eyes and I can't believe you have seen them Magenta that must of been so cool
While I have been hunting I saw reports on this 69 eyes band and how they have gone from glam to goth might get a CD and have a listen they look pretty good
-
Lynsey....
Yes The 69 Eyes...did start off as a cool sleazy glam band...but have since dropped pretty boy imagine for a more dark goth look yet still cool.
I have all their stuff from glam to the new goth stuff and to me I love the goth stuff a whole lot better. It's Type O Negative meets The Cult in my opinion. Some stuff worth checking out.
-
"but have since dropped pretty boy imagine for a more dark goth look yet still cool"???
that's supposed to read...
but have since dropped pretty boy image for a more dark goth look yet still cool.
You may continue now

Whilst on the subject of Eyes/Jeff Scott Soto - he has a cool dvd out called Live at the Gods 2002. The gods is a 2 day festival held here in the Uk featuring a host of Aor/melodic rock bands. The dvd is well worth a purchase.
-
On the dvd he covers all the stuff hes done - solo, talisman, humanimal, takara, Malmsteen plus stuff from the Rockstar film.
-
I didn't know he was involved with that I have been to one of those events at Maximes at Wigan and saw Talisman
-
I was at the gods in 2002 when he played. Absolute cracking weekend was had by all -its now in Bradford at a place called Penningtons. Went to a couple of the Gods weekends at Maximes too. Hardline also played in 2002 and have a dvd of the show out/coming out soon.
-
If you can get hold of a copy, the Eyes cd - Windows of the Soul is well worth getting.
-
Hey Ian...well if ya went to the Gods 2002 show....Then ya have had to see Johnny Lima...cuz he played that also
-
Thanks I will look out for that their s/t CD is amazing I love it
