i can swim... as i have spent many a summer
at beachs all over the southern states....
however, it is no longer my cup o' tea...
and i much rather walk in the surf or something
like that.
maybe its all the jellyfish attacks as a kid....

I like it, and my opinion is the only one that matters, for now anyway.
man that is some sad wilderness you guys have there come to new zealand see real forests and bush (no offence intended) i couldnt imagine going camping like that the trees are so far apart and theres camper vans and things i think you need a true camping excursion.
As for swimming come on people swimming is the best (played waterpolo for 8 years)
that is a far cry from the best camping we have here in arkansas. i work with a couple of guys who have traveled the country, even lived up in alaska and all over the country. they all agree that arkansas has some of the most beautiful outdoor living. from what i have heard new zealand is also very nice, but don't judge our outdoors by just those pictures. take a look at the link provided by ek3 on jizz nasty (currently jizz matrix, definitely worth a look) the website he made is for a some other camp grounds in the area.

and dj... if you recall the other camping thread,
we had difficulty getting camping rights ANYWHERE
in arkansas because, at the time, it was a spontaneous
decision and all the places were filled.
so just carry that ass....
i'm not dissin you guys or hte campsite you went to. i was just making the statement that the rest of the campsites in the area should not be based on that particular campsite. there are many many many other campsites that one, but there are ones that rival any other camp site in the country that's all i was saying, chill with the inference.

i've never been on a camping expedition out of choice (ie. it's usually been organised by school etc). i'm not the camping type. i quite enjoy it if it weren't so natury. and full of mosquitoes. and other crawly things. and other insects. and twigs in your cooking pot when you're cooking. and twigs falling into the cooking pot when you're trying to clean it up and get it dried. and the heavy backpacks. and.... and... i could go on.
