so i'm sitting outside last night talkin with
tg, and i see this stray mo fo dog wandering
around. i call it over. its a cairn terrier.
#1 -- i don't like terriers
#2 -- it was a cairn terrier that bit my
fucking face when i was in kindergarden
(stitches and a face bandage for weeks -- woohoo!)
#3 -- its stray
now, considering #1 and #2, i almost freaked
when i saw what kind of dog it was as it
approached. but because of #3, i took it in.
it had a collar and a rabies tag, so i
figured it belonged to SOMEone... (prolly
gay)... and i'd call the vet in the morning
and check the owners information via the
rabies tag number.
so i put the dog outside and bring my dog,
boogie, inside. a few minutes later, i see
the same bastard cairn terrier wandering
around outside the front yard...
it escaped my backyard (grrrrr) which made
me realize it prolly dug a hole under the
fence... prolly something similar to what
it did at the gay house.
-- the night with the cairn terrier --
its a bitch dog.
it prolly sleeps inside with casual juants
outside for 'potties'... or however the gay
owner would call it.
i thought it would do ok staying overnight
in boogie's inside crate... but... its a
shit terrier and we all know how they whine.
so boogie went outside and the jackass terrier
stayed inside -- outside of the crate.
it never left my side.
ever....
it would curl up on the floor just over there *points*
and lay there watching me... occassionally
coming up to me... jumping up on my leg...
begging for whatever its used to doing.
(gawd only knows)
when i would get up to get something... it
would go to either the front or back door
and stand on its hindlegs... bouncing around
like a dumbass -- doing whatever 'cute'
trick to go for 'potties'....
this annoyed me greatly. its NOT cute at all.
in fact... it has a rather dishelved appearance
(which made me question if its owner was gay at all).
its scraggly and nasty...
anyways...
so the vet was called this morning and guess what...
the gay owner isn't home... but lives a
block over. a message was left on the
answering machine.
now the funky terrier is sitting patiently
in the crate... not making a sound...
this pleases me.
i hate it.
it makes me uncomfortable being here.
i wish the damned gay owner would call so
i could return this menace to its owner.
.

oh... and if anyone doesn't know what a
friggin cairn terrier is... here's a refresher:

Dogs aren't the smartest of the animals but I think it could find its way home if it wanted to. The key word being "wanted" to. Anyhow what I would do since it seems by the way it excaped your yard that he has done this more then one. Haul him or her to the pound and make the gay owner pay a fine. Then maybe he will get the jist of how he should not keep his doggie on such a long lease. Specially since it is to stupid to stay near home.
Either that or I hear they run about $5 a pound in China town. (jusssssssssssss kiddin)
CYA
-
taking it to the pound is a great idea.
the mo fo hasn't called yet and i'm not gonna
hold this dog forever.
the only reason why i did was because i felt
that had it been my dog, i'd want someone to
keep her for me and contact me.
if the mo fo isn't interested in getting the
dog back, then the pound is the best place to
take him. maybe he will find a better home there
(not at the pound... but maybe someone will
take him).
this guy has approximately 3 hours from NOW
(which will be about 9.30 CST) to call... or
the dog goes to the pound first thing tomorrow.
its not a threat (cuz i doubt he posts here... lol).
but i ain't diggin on some terrier.... sorry
-
<font size=30>I'LL BE DAMNED!</font>
as soon as i finished posting that last post,
the mo fo calls!!!!
although he lives a street over, he wanted
to drive over to pick up the dog http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/...oticons/15.gif
when he gets here, he's all telling me that he
just found out he is allergic to dogs and he has
to get rid of him. (apparently he's owned this
dog for a while... and found out at a recent
trip to the doctors) he claims he's in 'no rush'
to get rid of the dog... but asked me if i knew
anyone that may want him.... =|
i said 'no'... but think: 'its a friggin terrier'
anyways...
so the guy is acting all 'saddened' and hopeless,
as if he thought i would take the dog.
so i tell him to put a damned ad in the newspaper
and if nothing happens, take it to the pound.
after all... if 'allowing' the dog to 'run away'
is his best idea to 'miss the dog'....
then he best think about that damned rabies tag....
whadda asshole

Shatzy what you did showed what a kind heart you have espically since you hate that breed of dog having two "children" of my own I understand not wanting to put the beast in the pound. This jerk obviously let it escape due to said allergy hell fella ever heard of Zertec? Anyway I just wanted to comend you Shatzy for caring when most people wouldn't.

You were attacked by a hamster in kindergarten!?!
-
lol...yes!
it was a terrible turn of events!!!!
-
LOL! If the doggie wasn't feral, that'd be like getting mauled by the class's mascot gerbil.
Were you yanking its tail?

the bastard dog in question was named 'lecheh'
(pronounced - letcha)
i wasn't in kindergarden as i previously stated,
but upon further remembrance, i was in first grade (sorry).
anyways... it was my aunts dog (she had, and still
has, a thing for cairn terriers).
lecheh had a thing for rocks....
rocks were the equivalent to tennis balls, in
his mind... he loved to play with them, chew
on them, fetch them, etc.
so he was goin at this rock... and i bent down
to get it because i was gonna toss it over so
he could run after it...
and the muther fucker jumped up and went apeshit...
(not too unlike the man-eating rabbit of caerbannog.. he he)
he basically attacked me... and i remember
grabbing my face and just seeing blood running
in my eyes....
my aunt and mom were outside near me when it
happened.... so thats how i remember the story.
they grabbed a washrag full of ice and took me
to the hospital....
i don't remember if it hurt, as i'm sure it did,
because i was in fucking shock and couldn't
see and i was basically freaked like a mo fo.
i don't remember anything else.
other than the fact that it was during an era
when stitches weren't all that great and i
had to go to school with fucking bandages on
my face like a fucking mummy....
what made it worse, i was in an advanced reading
group, which meant instead of reading with my
normal first grade class, i went to a second
grade class during reading periods...
which was in an entirely different building...
and all the older kids saw me... even the
higher grades (up to 5th)... and i felt so
fucking embarrassed.
tee hee
many many years later.... lecheh decided to
cross cantrell (to those of you in LR)...
and was hit by a car.
my soul was finally at rest.

*BOL..i laughed at that part, too..
anyways, any small dog in question, deserves to be kicked..IMHO, that is
i hate small dogs, most of all for the fact that they tend to be very yappy, and think they're cute...
it's rather annoying..
your story was very touching, both of them, i take in stray dogs constantly, i have 8 dogs at the moment, 5 of which have been here for about 4 months, one is my own and the other two were just brought here yesterday
*the smallest of the dogs weighs in at 130 lbs, the largest, 220*
either way, i would have done the same had the dog wandered into my yard *as long as my dogs didn't eat it, first.....

heh heh...
it was nick's dog... and i remember the day he
told me about lecheh getting hit... and nick
was all sad about it... and i said something to
the effect of:
"good!"
and he got mad...

I don't have a carin terrier but I do have a cocker/dachsen mix but she isn't yappy and adores children same as my mastiff the only kind of dog that bites or has the cutesie prob is one that hasn't been trained but pampered. Kind of like children. LOL But Shatzy I can't blame you for hating Carins, I hate pits for the same reason.
