Spore - I haven't opened my Alien and Pred figs yet, so I'm not sure...maybe Endquest knows.

Yig - this particular bit of information came straight from Steve's mouth. I've heard him talk about it in person, and he also posted this same info a few times on the spawn board back when MM5 was out. Trust me, I've put hours and hours of research into my site - if I know something is only a rumor, I make a point to clearly label it as such. I certainly don't have ALL the definite answers, and I'm very careful about the way I word things. So if something on my site is written like it's a fact, then to the best of my knowledge it is.

generally, my rule of thumb is: when a McF employee makes a statement about a MM figure (and the info has been made public), then I assume it's true and I report it as such. But I also realize that we sometimes only get half the story or even the WRONG story...so I'm always willing to change info on my site if a more reliable source can be produced on a particular subject. But when the original info came from someone at McF, it can be a tough call. I just go with what seems the most reliable [img]graemlins/smarty.gif[/img]

I hate the orange stripe on the tail of the new Alien...although, I don't think it's supposed to be so prominent - if not, then they'll probably fix it as the production goes on.

Otherwise, the coloration of the Alien figure was actually made that way on purpose - with all the orange spots and what not. McF actually designed it to Giger's specifications. You can read details about it in the NOTES seciton on this page of my site - http://www.themaniacfiles.com/avp.html

Out of curiosity... is it still made with translucent plastic? I know the Aliens fig isn't... not that it should have been.
